We fished the match at loch Etive and upon arriving at the mark it was already being fished. I have never seen so many people fishing Etive at this time of year. We fished 3 hours up with some bites and no hook ups until the tide turned

The last summer league match was won by Iain with 3 fish for 102pts. Well done, Iain other members were only able to catch pin whiting and coalies at 19cms. As soon as the baits hit the water, they were attacking the bait. All week the winds blow up the night of the match flat calm sea .

We headed to Port Logan with the grandson Brooklyn in tow for his first shore session. With a few lessons in how to dig lug from the shore. After we had got enough bait for the session we got set up. Brooklyn was first into the fish a small Turbot then a double shot off flounders. Shane was next with a small Turbot and Flounder. It was good to see brooklyn catching on his first time out so all in he had 5 flounders and 3 turbot for his tally. Shane had 2 flonders and 2 Turbot that went to his species hunt. well done brooklyn.

With the last few events not producing much we decided to fish out off port Patrick a board lucky dip 2. Heading out we went for some mackerel for the tope and bullhuss fishing.

Some nice sized mackerel were caught with a few whitting and grey gurnards and Shane had a nice sized launce. There were no tope about but some small bullhuss and doggies. Then onto some Pollack fishing and a few nice ones were caught. A first for me a Ballan wrasse about 3 pounds caught on a lure.
Plenty of fish caught and a good day had by everyone.
