🌟⚽️ OUR U7s’ FIRST EVER GAMES! ⚽️🌟

What a brilliant moment for our Under 7s yesterday!

For the very first time, EIGHT Stoke Mandeville & Kingsbrook FC 3v3 teams pulled on the shirt and represented the club in their first ever competitive football experience! 🦌

And we have to say… 3v3 football at this age is absolutely fantastic.

More touches of the ball.
More involvement.
More goals.
More decisions.
More confidence.
And most importantly… MORE FUN! 🙌

With only three players on each side, there’s nowhere for a child to disappear in the game. Everyone gets involved, everyone gets opportunities on the ball and everyone gets the chance to attack, defend, score goals and learn.

At U7, football shouldn’t be about league tables, results or pressure. It should be about falling in love with the game.

That’s exactly what we saw yesterday — lots of football, lots of goals and plenty of huge smiles!

A massive well done to every single one of our young Stags who took part. For many of them, this was the first of hopefully hundreds of matches in a Stoke Mandeville & Kingsbrook shirt.

And a huge thank you to our coaches and parents for making their first experience of grassroots football such a positive one.

First ever competitive Vets fixture this afternoon in a really competitive encounter with local side Mindset FC in the Home Counties Charity League.

Well done everyone involved a fantastic win against a very good side.

Jay Charlton a superb game in goal and Jedd and Cristian getting on the scoresheet.

The start of the season for our men’s 1st team starts this Saturday with a Berks & Bucks County Cup 1st Round game against MK Irish Reserves.

As our home pitch isn’t quite ready to use the fixture has been reversed to an away game at their stadium.

⚠️ Kingsbrook Pavilion – Security Update

Unfortunately, we are continuing to experience people attempting to gain access to the changing rooms at Kingsbrook Pavilion.

This is the latest incident, captured this morning.

We can promise you, the changing rooms really aren’t that exciting and there is nothing of value inside to take! 😅

If anybody recognises this individual, please contact the football club privately. We would be more than happy to offer them a guided tour of the changing rooms and toilets during opening hours!

While we’re sure there may be a perfectly innocent explanation, it is becoming increasingly concerning just how regularly people are trying the doors and attempting to enter the pavilion, particularly over recent weeks.

Thankfully, the building was secured. However, incidents like this demonstrate exactly why we take the security of the pavilion seriously and why the building cannot simply be left unlocked when it is unattended.

We have a responsibility to protect the facilities and ensure they remain safe and available for the children, players, volunteers and wider community who use them.
