🌟 Happy Sweet 16th Pole Attack! 🌟
As we come to the end of our 16 days of celebration of 16 incredible years at Pole Attack, I want to take a moment to express my thanks to all our amazing students, instructors and of course my parents who have continued to support and help me behind the scenes. What started as a side hustle to introduce pole to adults in Aylesbury, and the local area has blossomed into a thriving pole and aerial school for children and adults, and I couldn’t have done it without you all!
Where I fail, my instructors shine. We all have something to offer, and as I take on new instructors, I continue to encourage them to excel and not be shadows of myself.
Have I made business mistakes along the way? Absolutely! But each experience has been a stepping stone to becoming better, both as a business owner and as a person.
This journey has not only transformed my career but also enriched my life with invaluable lessons and connections. The support and camaraderie within our community have created a welcoming and empowering environment for everyone.
Nothing prepares you for the amount of hours, days, months, and years you put into a business to make it successful. It’s constant—emails and texts coming in early in the morning or late at night. The responsibility on your shoulders to ensure your staff are paid and everyone’s safety is maintained can be overwhelming. The list is endless as a business owner, and while facing personal challenges, the business goes on. People need you, the business needs you, and you have one choice: get on with it!
Being in charge of accounts, equipment updates and checks, serving as receptionist, managing rigging, media marketing, scheduling, bookings, addressing complaints, maintaining student relationships and performance, ensuring my team of instructors are happy, lesson planning for my own classes, training, future development of the company, contracts, and overseeing the overall operations of the school while running a household with two children is challenging, but I would not chance it for the world.
Here’s to the next 16 years of growth, fun, and fabulousness at Pole Attack! 💪✨
