The perfect setting to meet for a Summer evening run.

Hastoe village Hall nestled at the top of one of the Chilterns most picturesque and varied areas.

Kiln me softly, our country road run has winding lanes through stunning woodland and rolling hills, postcard cottage’s and abundant wildlife.

All this and a beautiful sun drenched evening. 🌞

So we ditched Ladysmiths Rd tonight and tried a new session.
Introducing Kenyan Hills !!!

Running at a strong tempo pace with equal intensity up and down hill 8 minute intervals.
Designed to increase cardiovascular endurance, robust body strength and fast leg turnover our big group certainly gave it their all.

So our African session was hard but fun. Some said Uganda be serious but i said Kenya stop messing about and I’d never Senegal like her before. Luckily the leaders knew where Togo tonight. 😇

Well done guys and we were rewarded with a gentle cooling spattering of rain for the cool down run home.

What an incredible weekend of running we’ve had! Races near and far, hills, roads, trails, villages, streams, mountains, training runs! Plus plenty of smiles, laughter, friendship and cake! It’s time for another member spotlight! This is Martin! He’s been running with OTR for almost 16 years! He doesn’t look old enough right! Not only is he a brilliant runner, he’s also super supportive to all our members encouraging them on their own running journeys…and he’s also an all round really nice bloke!

Fun Intervals on the Pitstone cricket pitch tonight.
Enthusiastic and big group took on varied session out & back sprints, numbers game & some Tail end Charlie’s.
We took on high knees, side running and plenty of squats and a few lunges.
Even more smiles.
Oh and a wall of death to finish things nicely 😇
Think a few might feel it in the morning.

If you’re local, you have to visit this wonderful community coffee shop! We often pop in after our Friday morning runs and they always look after us so well!
