Olimpia Festa

Olimpia came into Powerhouse and instantly made an impact. Part of the lively 5pm crew, she brings energy, effort, and positivity to every session.

She’s built amazing strength, pushed herself in every lift, quit smoking, and even challenged herself with Engine classes to level up her cardio.

Massive well done . The work you’re putting into your health is showing every day 💪

James Cole

James is the definition of commitment. He’ll walk straight in after a night shift and train like he’s slept 10 hours. His consistency is unreal.

He’s hit some huge PBs lately , including a 110kg deadlift and RDL and still has more in the tank.

On top of that, he’s feeling the benefits outside the gym too, especially in his motorbiking.

20km+ of epic coastal views, rolling hills, and good vibes the whole way through.

Grateful we stayed dry on the most part , the weather played nice for once 😅

September marks Men’s Su***de Awareness Month.

Men are 3 times more likely to take their own life than women, making su***de the biggest killer of men under 50; taking more lives than road accidents, heart disease, or cancer.

This isn’t because men are “weaker” or “less capable.” It’s because too often, society teaches men to stay silent, suppress emotions, and carry pain alone.

That silence becomes fatal. Real strength is found in opening up, sharing struggles, being vulnerable and taking purpose lead, driven action. When men talk, the walls of toxic masculinity break down and lives can be saved.

We do things differently here at Powerhouse. We have our in-house Mental Health coach bringing our male members together this Friday to use exercise, connection and vulnerability, to break this stigma and showcase the power of unity, rather than feeling powerless and alone.

Ultimately, this is a reminder to normalise conversations around mental health, check in on the men in your life, offer compassion and show that asking for help is not weakness, but courage.
