Some of you might remember a small adventure back in 2024… rowing the Atlantic and thinking “that’ll do nicely.”

Turns out, it didn’t. We’re clearly still gluttons for punishment 🌊🚣‍♂️

The next chapter is underway, but it’s happening over on a new page — Barney’s Boys — and that’s where we’ll be sharing everything from here on in.
We’re kicking things off with a Facebook & Instagram LIVE from Loch Ness on 19th September, outliningour next challenge. Expect the usual mix of questionable chat, a bit of chaos, and probably someone pretending they know what they’re doing.

The team were fortunate enough to attend an Honours and Awards ceremony at RAF Halton yesterday, to receive their Air and Space Commanders Commendation from Provost Marshal, Group Captain Bunn, after being recognised in the New Years Honours list 2025.

Unfortunately, Dan and Wally were unable to make the ceremony due to work commitments, but Gus and Binnsy along with the Project Officers Aimee and Fran, were able to attend the ceremony.

Thank you again to everyone who supported our journey/challenge. Your support was truly humbling and we are extremely grateful for each and every one of you! 👍🏻🌊🚣‍♂️

What an amazing day for the team. It only took 372 days to catch them up 😂😂, but our team Atlantic Rocks, were reunited with two of the crew members, Rod and Guy from The Brightsides Atlantic Row , joining them in Lanzarote to see the next fleet of crew members setting of shortly taking part in Atlantic Dash 2025.
We wish all The crew members a safe crossing and we look forward to Following your journey.

Yesterday the Crew visited one of their gold sponsors, Generation Media to give them a brief about their challenge, as part of the company's Wellbeing Week.

The crew said "it was fantastic to visit Generation Media and show them our gratitude for their support and ultimately, enabling this challenge to happen! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the whole team, delivering our brief and letting you sample some of the rations we ate during the crossing (after some persuasion 🤣). Last week, Gus and Binnsy travelled to Royal Air Force Honington and said one final goodbye to Sentinel as they handed it over to the Centurion Fund and next Crew, who will be looking to use her in 2025 when they conduct their crossing!

She may not have been the fastest, or had all the latest and greatest technology on board, but she was solid as a rock and the crew had full confidence in the stability and structure of her throughout their Crossing.

The whole Crew are looking forward to working with the next team to give them every chance of success during their crossing and wish them nothing but the best of luck!
