When we set out on our horsey/pony journey a few years back we could only dream of owning a pony that would qualify for HOYS, the biggest show in the equine calendar. Well today it happened - Kobi and Toffee were simply awesome.

Thanks to BJW International horses & ponies and Kobi Watt for such a top job. Incredible day but we shouldn’t forget what a great week you’d had before today. 1st’s, 2nds and placing in most of your classes.

Fay - hope it makes all your hard work worth it. You bust your gut and deserve the reward. When you said to me we’ve got ourselves a HOYS pony I might have wondered??? But when am I going to learn “you’re normally right”.

P.S when the team at British Showjumping get in tomorrow morning I can’t wait to see Toffee and Kobi added to the list of qualifiers. HOYS here we come. Not just as spectators now as owners 😂😂

What’s next?? To qualify again in a year or two with Nelly in the saddle with this awesome pony now Kobi’s shown him how it’s done 🤞🏻

Huge love for our boy Toffee. 💙

Massive well done to Kobi who’s looking after him so well. This is going to cost us 💴

We’ve taken our time and Nelly is riding him really nicely. We just need a bit more time to concentrate on the jumping, thank you Kobi who has stepped in brilliantly.

Double clear in the 1m Graham Heath this morning for a 5th and securing the 2nd double clear needed to qualify for the next round💙

With a little excitement and some nerves from us all we threw this awesome chap into the 1.10m Enablelink Horse of the Year Show 128cm qualifier. Again top job Kobi. 2 down but the round was better than that. 10th place finish and we go again………..

For Kobi to have been in the seat 3 weeks and Toffee having an easier period we couldn’t be more pleased. Generally making it look easy he had the out of the double and the middle of the triple. Tricky distances but the height certainly no issue.

We’re so pleased and thanks again to Kobi BJW International horses & ponies for a memorable day

Friday

Nelly and Sox - Stepping Stones 1 down and 4 faults in first phase

Derraveragh Two Tone - Toffee was ridden brilliantly by Kobi Hunter Watt for a win in the Sprinboards 90cm (video of the round) 🏆 🥇

Saturday

Nelly and Sox - double clear for joint 🥇 in the 70cm

Nelly and Sox - 4 faults in the jump off but lovely round in the stepping stones

Nelly and Dotty - 70cm Jumped the first 3 nicely but slight issue with control and Nelly decided to retire. Dotty has only been with us a week and we had an error with timings. Excited to see this relationship develop. Feels like our little team has another special addition. Pictures to follow

Kobi and Toffee showing exactly what this special pony can do with a 1st 🏆 in the Graham Heath 1m qualifier. Kobi is doing a fantastic job with Toffee and we really hope with a little more experience and time Nelly will be back on his back popping the bigger classes herself. He’s a special chap and the more questions Kobi asked the better he got. 🥇
