Winter 2024 update! Back to the GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS DAYS!
GOOD ish news! Katie is about to get the metal taken out of her back.
BAD NEWS. Katie will be unable to lift a pair of skis or do anything at all this Winter.
Therefore our ski hire will be totally CLOSED and unable to operate this Winter.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will update if the situation can change at all.

Dearest Ski/ board loving Team,
We have made the very difficult decision to not open up our Ski hire through the Xmas holidays.
Our bad luck seems to have continued. We were suppose to get a new fleet of XC skis delivered this past month but have just been informed that the skis won’t arrive until the end of January and boots not until March😖 We sold all our XC kit last year so locals could get out through lockdown.
We also simply don’t have the man/woman power to efficiently run the Bar/ Cafe and accommodation along with the added pressure of Ski hire.
There are plenty more options around Aviemore to rent equipment from and are more than happy for them to get some extra business!
We haven’t made this decision lightly and we hope you guys understand.
We would rather focus on the Bar and Cafe and make sure everyone is having Hoorna Good times than half ass trying to do everything.
Still hoping for a cracking winter and hopefully after the holidays are out the way we can reassess and maybe get the hire going again!

WE NEED YOU!
Well maybe you, maybe one of your pals that needs a job?!
We are starting our search for some new legends to join the Team starting in May.
We are looking for....

1x General Full Time, all around Jedi-
Full time Jedi duties are a mix of everything we offer here. Serving at the Bar, running food, helping in ski/ bike hire, holiday accommodation cleaning and more. A very varied role to keep things interesting.

1x All-round fully sound FT Chef-
Very small open Kitchen so must be able to work effectively and without swearing too loud when a customer asks for something annoying.
No split shifts!

1x Cleaning Guru. ( 25 hours per week)
Main duties will include cleaning our 3 Glamping Pods and Treehouse Holiday accommodation along with the bathroom facilities and possibly some other light cleaning/ helping duties when required.

Own transport a huge advantage as we are in a remote location and the busses here are poor to say the least.

We are a living wage employer and tips are usually pretty good. Although we are more than certainly going to get a good seeing to this summer we hope to still have some fun in the process!

Dearest Lovely Team,
In today’s announcement from Scotland’s FM Big Nic,
It looks like we won’t be back to any sort of normality/ opening until at-least the back end of April.
In regards to our accommodations, Katie is now going through the agonising process of moving/ cancelling any booking untill the end of April. Because our Glamping Pod toilets/ showers are a shared facility we will have to wait and see what rules/ regulations come into affect when we can reopen. There is unfortunately nothing we can do about that and are sorry yet again for any inconvenience caused by this!
For those of you south of the border, although your restrictions look like they will be lifted before us that doesn’t mean we will be able to accept bookings/ guests before the Scottish government says so.

We will, as always keep oor chins up and do as much as we can to get you all back as soon and safely as possible!
And until then we will atleast try to keep you amused via the internet’s!
