Louise teaches our morning sessions at Macdonald Resort, and Alysha runs the lessons at our private Glenmore Lodge pool

💜💛 International Women’s Day 💛💜

The children in our lessons don’t just learn to swim. They see women leading, teaching, making decisions and running things.

Outside of lessons and lane ropes, this is us:

🦸‍♀️Louise: "I'm a girl who likes to travel, experience different cultures, food and drink. Will always try to give something a go! As a working mum life is always busy."

👩‍🏫Alysha: "I’ve been lucky to live in the Middle East and experience life in a completely different culture. I’m a mum of three and recently retrained as a primary school teacher, so life is full and busy - but I love helping children grow in confidence and believe in themselves."

🧞‍♀️Sarah: "I’m happiest outdoors - on the mountains or by the water. I love trying new things and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Life is busy, but I’m always up for the next adventure."

*** We’re evolving! ***

We’re excited to share that Speyside Swimming Academy is becoming SwimWise Scotland.

As we prepare to register our swim school as a Community Interest Company (CIC), we’ve chosen a new name that reflects our renewed focus on swimming inclusion, accessibility, and community benefit.

This marks a change in business structure—but not in our teaching spirit. SwimWise Scotland will build on everything we’ve created through Speyside Swimming Academy: swimmer-centred instruction, local knowledge, and a strong sense of community, while expanding our reach and deepening our public value.

Our new contact email, website, and branding will roll out in the coming weeks, but our mission remains the same: supporting swimmers of all ages and abilities with care, clarity, and inclusivity.

*** We’re back to the pool ***

From this Thursday and Friday (11th + 12th September) for a 4 week block! We’re very much looking forward to seeing all of our returning swimmers and giving a warm welcome to our new swimmers 🤩

While our Thursday children’s lessons are currently fully booked, we do have some spaces for our Adult lessons on Thursdays 7pm - 8pm!

Adult options available are below - drop us a quick email if you’d like to join any of the below:

🏊‍♀️ 1) 7pm - 8pm - 4 week block of ‘Advanced coached’ sessions - £40 - ideal for those who are confident swimmers, may be training for a future event, keeping up with fitness etc!
🏊 2) 7pm - 8pm - 4 week block of ‘Intermediate coached’ sessions - £40 - these are ideal for those swimmers who may have swam with us previously or who are looking to hone some extra stroke technique or corrections!

** NEW **
🧜 3) 7pm - 8pm - Adult Beginner Learn to Swim Lessons - small class size - 4 week block - £40 - ideal for those who may be feeling nervous about swimming or may be able to swim a little but are looking to swim a length or more in one go!

**NEW CLASSES & VENUE**
👩‍🍼 We’re excited to announce that we’ve added some brand new Parent and Baby classes up to 2y/o along with Preschool Classe from 2-4y/o. These lessons will take place at our NEW venue at Glenmore Lodge on Fridays - drop us an email if you are interested in joining us!

Saying a very warm welcome to Alysha who’s recently moved into the area and comes with nearly 20 years experience! 🤩

We have children’s lessons running from 5pm until 7pm and adult lessons and coaching from 6pm until 8pm!
