𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇…
#1 It’ll work out, even if it doesn’t.
You’re a serious man for overthinking. Worrying about what’ll happen. How things will go. What people will think. In fact you probably spend more time thinking about doing things than actually doing them.
So, my young friend, my advice to you is to think less and do more. Do the things that’s eating up the space between your ears in the knowledge that the only way to find out if it’s been worth all that mental energy is by DOING THE THING!
And if it wasn’t worth it, at least you found out so you aren’t wasting any more energy thinking about it!
#2 Sometimes people are mean. It isn’t your fault.
People can be dicks. Now and again you’ll find yourself in their crosshairs. And it’ll be for no other reason than you happened to be the right person at the wrong time or that you being happy is reminding them of how sad they are.
You’ll come to see that people rarely hate down. And real friends don’t make tear you down, they build you up. Those are the people you want to spend your time with!
#3 Do more, because one day you won’t be able to.
I’m not saying do everything all at once because next thing you’re dead, little man. I’m just saying the older you get the more responsibilities on your plate and the trickier it’ll become to find the time and energy, ya know?
When you’re young the days feel long, time seems to trickle by like a lazy river. The older you get the more that river turns into a waterfall.
And when I say do more, I mean DO, not try. Do it and stick with it til you know if it’s for you or not.
Do a martial art. It’ll help you become more confident.
Learn an instrument. It’ll help you become more confident.
Pick a language, go to classes and make that thing your second tongue. It’ll help you become more confident.
Use the time you have on your side to become a confident person and from there, the world is your oyster because you’ll have proof that you can DO whatever you want.
