In and Out Fitness Auchterarder Fully Qualified REPS Level 3 Personal Trainer and Advanced Functional Trainer. Email- melissa@inando Melissa started out with a career in skiing.

She was a successful member of the British Ski Team for 5 years, and a member of the British Children's Ski Team for 4 years. She was also a member of the Scottish Ski team for 12 years, and went to the Youth Olympics at age 16, finishing in the top 30. Sadly, following a run of injuries she was forced to retire half way through the 2011 season. Melissa's career as an athlete, which spanned more t

han 10 years, meant that she had the opportunity to train with some of the best fitness coaches, in the best facilities all over the world. Her drive to create a fitness facility, which is affordable, fun, and community orientated, stems directly from this experience. She has been a Personal Trainer for 10 years now, and opened the In & Out Fitness Studio in Auchterarder in February 2012. In 2020 Melissa decided due to having a family and the pandemic to close the studio on the high street and move the business to the gym at her house which boasts all the equipment from the high street facility as well as an outdoor gym. Melissa now has found a new passion in life, passing on her knowledge of fitness training to others. Her aim is to give back, and to improve people's lives, help local sports people and prove to people that they are able to do anything if they put their mind to it. Her focus is on training people in ways that are fun yet always keep the end goal in mind. That means that her clients get the maximum out of each session and the results they want. Reasons why I think itโ€™s important to exercise during the Festive period:

1) Helps manage stress, Anxiety and Depression.

2) Controls excess calories consumed.

3) Allows you to form a level of structure and prioritise yourself.

4) Allows you to maintain results and a good level of fitness.

Happy 1st December Everyone,

5 Top Tips for enjoying the festive season ๐ŸŽ„

1) Stay hydrated and alternate alcohol with water.

2)Plan your calorie intake ahead. If you know your going out for a bigger meal eat less earlier in the day.

3) Donโ€™t forget to Move keep training and active even when you donโ€™t feel like it.

4) With parties and late nights ahead plan days where you can catch up on more sleep.

5) Donโ€™t feel guilty about indulging just donโ€™t make it a permanent habit.

For me itโ€™s a great time to collect your thoughts, spend time with friends chatting and breathing fresh mountain air.

Itโ€™s a great sense of achievement reaching the top and touching that cairn.

Morning run, skiing with my gorgeous wee boy and an afternoon walk around the knock getting my daily step target in.

Working to feel healthy and strong again after a tough couple of weeks.

Steps are a perfect way to get activity in without adding extra stress to the body. Walking and getting your steps in means you will not feel as hungry compared to doing intense exercise.

For fat loss I recommend to do 10-15 thousand steps per day.
