Morning all ..so a few photos from AGP and some from the Clubhouse. There will be some disruption in the car park with space perhaps a little more limited. We are trying our best to keep disruption to a minimum but isn't there a saying about omelette and cracked eggs? Have a great day

Many thanks to Drone9 Photography and Dean Wainwright for sharing the drone photos he took this morning. It is great to see the pitch development from the air but it really does make you realise just how parched the ground is ..we are desperate for rain so we can see the green pitches back!

Evening all ..the framework for the fencing is beginning to be erected ...you will soon see the outline of the pitch. The changing facility is coming on nicely - while the roof is being completed, the internal works continue ..hoping to get some sneak preview snaps if possible!!

Really progressing well. Over the next few weeks you will begin to see the fencing framework going up and tarmac going down to create the base for the 'carpet' which should go down by the beginning of October.

New Chapter for Atherstone Sports Club as Work Commences on Site at Royal Meadow Drive, Atherstone

North Warwickshire Borough Council welcomes the start of construction on a major sports facilities project at Atherstone Sports Club. With a total project cost of £1,698,788, including £1,297,504 of funding from the Premier League, The FA and Government’s Football Foundation, the development will provide a new full-size 3G pitch and modern changing room facilities for the local community.

Morning ...thought I would pop on with a bit of a request!

It is an exciting time for the Atherstone Sports Club (ASC), with the development of the new 3G pitch and much needed improvements to the changing rooms and toilets.
But we're not stopping there, the ASC committee are working hard to improve the condition and appearance of the entire clubhouse, to provide an attractive and welcoming facility that our members and wider community can be proud of.

Please help us by completing this short survey (should take no more than 2 minutes) that will provide us with valuable feedback that we can review and use to progress these improvements.

All responses will be anonymous, answers may be used to support our funding applications.

Evening all ...even with cloud cover it is still warm! Took a walk around site again today. The groundwork is progressing really well with the drainage having been put in and the outflow now in place. It won't be long before we begin to see the AGP structure beginning to appear.
As for the changing facility, the roof trusses are in place ..it won't be long before the extension part is watertight to allow for internal works to continue.

We hope you are all keeping hydrated and are as excited as we are to see the project come to fruition!

On another note, please could you be vigilant for any fires that may be lit around the area as per the photo. The grass is like a tinderbox and quite apart from potential damage to property there is a risk of injury.

By 'eck this weather is still absolutely creasing and yet the contractors are still hard at it! More work being done on the attenuation lake to provide an outflow for any excess water. This is part of the environmental flood risk strategy. The hardcore piles are being spread with more kerbing being laid. As for the changing facility, roof trusses have arrived. Thank you to our neighbours and our members for their support during this amazing project.
