Match Report – First Game of the Season
Brilliant start to the season today. The team put in a huge shift and came away with a well‑deserved win. More importantly, the attitude, effort, and teamwork were outstanding from every single player.
Overall Performance
Once we had even teams, the game settled and the boys really showed what they can do. They worked hard for each other, stayed positive, and kept pushing right until the final whistle. No complaints, no moaning — just pure effort and enjoyment. Exactly what we want at this stage of the season.
Key Highlights
• Sol was everywhere today. A hat-trick, Parents’ Player of the Match, and constant work rate in every position he played. Defended, attacked, chased back — a proper all‑round performance.
• Theodore earned Manager’s Player of the Match with solid defending throughout. Calm, reliable, and consistently making the right decisions.
• Wilson took his goal really well and kept driving forward whenever he had the chance.
• Light grabbed a goal too.
• Marshall was immense in goal. I genuinely lost count of the saves — he kept us comfortable and confident all game.
• Alfie & Freddy worked their socks off in multiple positions. Non-stop running, great attitude, and always involved.
