6 months of consistency and showing up for myself. Keep going Mama, you will find yourself again. Progress over perfection, day by day. Meal by meal, nourishing my body with single ingredient whole foods🫶🏻and increasing intensity in my sessions weekly.

A huge 1 STONE 2lb loss!! 16lbs / 7.2KG DOWN FOR GOOD⬇️

This lovely client came to RGF wanting to drop some body fat for a trip at the end of the year. We put plans in place and achieved her goals in just 8 short weeks!!

What does it take?⬇️

An incredible level of adherence and commitment has been shown over the past 8 weeks. We are going into week 9 now. Training 4-5 times per week, 10K step minimum per day, 3L water & a personalised macronutrient plan (focusing on a high daily protein intake).

1 STONE 6.35KG GONE! 10 week Post partum drop for this wonderful hard working, determined client who showed up hard for this one! You may see these results and think “yes great” but we often overlook the day in day out commitment, dedication and planning that it takes to achieve this! Along side our busy lives, fitting it all in, training, meal planning, macro tracking and completing steps goals! Super proud of this client and excited for her next journey. Training sessions were 4/5 times per week consistently incorporating a variety between weight training and reformer Pilates 🧘🏻‍♀️

PostPartum Exercise, why it’s important⬇️

•Pelvic Floor and Core Rehabilitation
Pelvic floor exercises: The pelvic floor is often weakened during childbirth, leading to issues like incontinence. Kegel exercises can help restore strength to these muscles.

Diastasis recti: This separation of the abdominal muscles is common postpartum. Gentle core-strengthening exercises like pelvic tilts, bridges, and modified planks are typically recommended to avoid worsening the condition.

Progressive Approach
Start slow: Begin with gentle movements like walking or light stretching. Gradually increase intensity as the body heals.

Low impact exercises: Swimming, yoga, and Pilates can help build strength without putting too much strain on the body.

Strength training: After recovery, resistance training can help restore muscle tone, focusing on major muscle groups and avoiding high-impact or intense weightlifting in the early stage.

Cardiovascular Fitness
Walking: Walking is a safe and effective way to start rebuilding endurance, promoting circulation, and boosting mental health.

Gradual progression: Activities like cycling or using an elliptical machine can follow once you’ve built up your fitness level.

Breastfeeding and Nutrition

Listening to Your Body

12 WEEK PP UPDATE-

(Finally feeling ready to talk about it, pre baby weight, hormones, what’s changed, diet and training!)
12 weeks ago since beautiful boy arrived. Coming to terms with the fact some things will take time to heal and return to normal and intact our bodies are not designed to just “bounce back” as the saying goes.
Be patient with yourself and enjoy the PP journey.

Weight day prior to giving birth 85kg

Current weight today 72kg

Down -13kg

9lbs to go to hit my goal

Weight is not the be all and end all, the goals are to get back into my favourite clothes that currently don’t fit yet. And also to rebuild strength that I lost from regressing lifts in training whilst pregnant. I have a whole new perspective on the female body and just females in general, our bodies are amazing and il always be thankful to mine for birthing baby boy so I am more than patient and taking things one week at a time. 5 years ago I studied Pre & Post natal Fitness Nutrition and Dietary needs during pregnancy/ Physiological and Biochemical changes during pregnancy. Benefits of exercise and resistance training during pregnancy so applied the theories I learned to my PP journey.

Getting out for daily walks has always been a non negotiable! Getting enough sleep, which is the most easy thing in the world to do with a newborn, but we both worked together to establish a routine where we are all getting enough rest & recovery. Once the night sweats disappeared this was blissful- if you know you know🥲hormonal fluctuations🥲

WHOLE FOODS, has been an essential part of fuelling training and a staple into coming back to training at week 3 post birth. Super lucky that my body was feeling ready as my mind totally needed it. Tracking protein to ensure I stay consistent, staying hydrated and eating all of my favourite foods😌

Slowly incorporating progressive overload back into training week by week, enjoying the warmer weather where I can do cardio outside. Lastly being grateful for the whole process and everything along the way.
To the mama’s out there feeling like your body will never be the same again- it will be, and better because you birthed your baby! 🫶🏻

Results from consistently sticking to a great routine. Learning about nutrition & macros and how to fuel your body correctly.
Not all results are determined by the scales but a massive achievement for this client who is nearing the 5 stone loss mark. (31kg) which is amazing!

Believing in yourself, obtaining the right programme for you and prioritising great nutrition are the key details that make up the huge changes!
