As we approach the new season we’re asking for volunteers to come help us make Hurst Cross look brand new for another season!🏡

All sessions will be from 10AM until 2PM, feel free to drop in and out!⏰

There is plenty of work to be done from weeding the pitch and perimeter of the ground to painting and tidying up the terraces! 🧹🎨

Equipment and refreshments will be provided, all you need to bring is yourself!

Signing #4 is Justin Johnson 🔴⚪

We are excited to announce what we believe to be one of the signings of the season in securing Justin Johnson, the 29 year old Dutch winger arrives after his release from Macclesfield.

Justin is an attacking wide player who comes with a great reputation for goals and assists in the league above and our step previously. Justin enjoyed his time at Macclesfield and delivered some exciting performances for the Silkmen.

Prior to Macclesfield Justin had one of his best seasons for Chorley FC in 2024 being named in the National League North Team of the season.

First Team Manager Steve Cunningham said;

"What a signing this is! We have signed some fantastic players in my time at the club but this has to be up there as one of the biggest.

Justin has been one of the standout players in the region over the last 3 to 4 years in the league above and we are delighted to have him signed on the dotted line.

Justin will no doubt excite the Ashton United supporters and I am looking forward to working with such a talented player."

First Team Manager, Steve Cunningham said,

"Really pleased to have Al back with us for his 3rd season.

There are not many players with his number for assists over the last few seasons and we are trying to build a team with proven numbers so he fits the bill in that department but more than that this lad loves the club and is a real character and every dressing room needs an Al Byrne.

Al is infectious both on and off the pitch and I am expecting this season to be his best yet for numbers and performances in the Ashton United shirt."

Signing #2 is Reece Kendall ⚪🔴

Reece comes in after notable spells with Spennymoor, Matlock and Guiseley ✍🏼

First Team Manager, Steve Cunningham said,

"Delighted to sign Reece. He is a player of proven quality at these levels even gaining recognition with England C call ups not so long ago.

Reece is a big personality and needs an environment he can enjoy but re focus on being the player we all know he can be. I am really looking forward to working with him."
