Much like a beginners fitness journey the gym itself has started from an unrecognisable place.......
I have been working in the fitness industry for around 8 years now with the goal to be to create a place where people who don't like the gym and the typical fitness regime can come and get great results and of course have a fun and enjoyable time doing it.
I have worked within some great fitness facilities and some not so great......worked with some truly great coaches & pt’s and some again not so great. Everything i have experienced up to now has gone towards making Origin Fitness the best place for YOU to work out and get great results no matter who you are & what your ambitions are to be.
One thing you will notice is that there are minimal machines here. We aren't your typical chain gym (which i have nothing against by the way, they certainly have their place) you won't find any treadmills or restrictive boring equipment, we aim to give you a completely different experience as to what you are capable of. The human body is made to do more than run on a treadmill or sit in a chest press machine.......
I have been lucky enough to work with & train/coach some great people over the years, by creating this place I hope to be widening my metaphorical net and experience more & more successful fitness, health & wellbeing journeys.
Its taken a lot longer than first expected to get to the near opening of the gym with more than one or two bumps in the road. The experience of the 12 months from first deciding to go ahead with this facility to where we are now shows nothing is ever straight forward, much like a health & fitness plan! There will be times when you don't see the progress your efforts deserve or times when you want to give in, but both long term health/fitness AND life goals (for me the gym opening) is something you have to work on every day, eventually all your efforts will be rewarded and all the hard work & struggles will pail in comparison to the feeling of achievement, and then its time to recreate & reinvent your goal list......
Moral of the story if an old derelict ground floor of a mill can be turned into the best place in the area to workout then you can definitely realise the potential you hold & ability your a capable of, no matter what that may be.
