We plan to run sailing sessions as usual this week but we will be keeping a close eye on any storms in the area. Please dress sensibly as there will likely be some showers on both days 🙂

It will be very hot again this week, please remember…
💧 stay hydrated with plenty of fluids
👒 wear a hat
👕 light layers of clothing
☀️ remember to reapply suncream through the day

You may have to wait a little longer than usual as our volunteers will be working very hard in the heat and will need to take breaks

Our local MP Ros Savage came to visit the club yesterday. We were able to tell her about what happens at our Sailability sessions and all the other activities at Whitefriars!
Ros even got a chance to get out on the water; it was a breezy day with plenty of warm sunshine…. Perfect sailing conditions!

It’s another hot week for our Sailability sessions!

We might not have been at Sailability this week, but we’ve still been very busy!

A group of volunteers took to the water and went open swimming at the glorious Lake32 😊
Time to socialise and chat as well as enjoying the beautiful cool water.

And the racers were busy too! A long trip to Bolton for another Hansa TT which proved very worthwhile with Whitefriars sailors finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 303 one person fleet 😀

Hopefully it will be a bit cooler next week, we look forward to seeing you all again out enjoying the water!
