What a fantastic week for two of our girls' teams at the Malmesbury Tournament! ⚽🏆

A huge congratulations to our Under 14s (featuring quite a few U13s!) as they stepped up an age group (or 2) and conquered the U15s tournament in style. Taking on older opposition and coming away as champions is an incredible achievement – a brilliant display of skill, determination, and teamwork. Well done, girls!

Our U13s were also outstanding, battling their way to not one, but TWO finals. While they narrowly missed out on lifting the winners trophies, their resilience, effort, and quality throughout the tournament was exceptional. Reaching two finals is a fantastic achievement and they should be incredibly proud of themselves.

At Ashton Keynes Youth Football Club we’re blessed with an army of dedicated people who make this club tick. From coaches, committee members, groundsmen, ahem, social media people, we all give up our time to provide a fun and safe environment for kids of all ages to thrive and learn about the wonderful game

Ashton Keynes Youth Football club is very popular. We get dozens of enquiries a month from parents looking for team vacancies for their eager children. A lot of the enquiries are for teams we don't currently have, often involving girls teams. We would love to take on more kids, but the blocker for us is a lack of coaches. We have lots of willing kids, but not so many willing coaches! And we totally understand this, its a huge commitment and it takes up a lot of our precious spare time.

If you're interested in getting involved in the coaching side of things, then we would really like to hear from you, so don't hesitate to reach out.

We'd also like to encourage more women to get involved on the coaching side. We are proudly supporting the 'Stepping Over the Sidelines' campaign, which provide introductory workshops for women who would really like to get into volunteering and coaching football. It certainly was a Super Sunday in Ashton Keynes this weekend! We were treated to good wins by both U12s teams, the U16s, U14s and U10s. To cap it all off our wonderful Ladies team carved out a hard-fought 3-2 victory, defeating Thornbury Town. Well done everyone!!!
