Run to IPF rules, with experienced powerlifter referees.

Well done to David Groves who benched an incredible 140kg in the Hirst Welfare Centre gym this afternoon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was his 2nd rep at this weight and his first rep was even faster! 💪🏼🙂👍🏼

Regrettably, we have made the decision to cancel our 2026 Additional Needs Competition which was scheduled on Saturday 16th May at the Hirst Welfare Centre (Ashington) 🏡💪🏼

Although initial interest was high, we only had a very small number of lifting applications which has led us to make this decision ☹️

After a really successful 2025 competition, we will aim to plan another unsanctioned Additional Needs Competition in 2027 🥇🥈🥉

Please accept our apologies for cancelling this event as it was the last thing we wanted to do 🙏❤️😢

We are hosting our 2026 Additional Needs Competition on Saturday 16th May at the Hirst Welfare Centre (Ashington) 🏡💪🏼

After a really successful and enjoyable completion last year, we are hoping that 2026 will be even better! 🥇🥈🥉

If you would like to get involved and give powerlifting a go then please reach out to us and fill in the form below 🤩🙏

Entry for Additional Needs competition is NOW OPEN!

This will be an unsanctioned competition and is also open to every one of all abilities, including novices or anyone who wants to do a competition for the first time.

The aim is to create a less pressured environment, which is both challenging and fun. There is no requirement for lifters to wear IPF approved kit.
