A visitor joined on of the kids at our session this morning , great to have so many preschoolers involved with racket sports across the week.

Happy International Women’s day 2026. Across a normal week I get to coach over 75 women and girls on a squash court, from , junior groups, ladies sessions, mixed adult groups, Squaffee and 1:1s. Today 19 of our ladies are playing in a tournament, and all sections of the club will be there to support.

Bit of speed and reaction time training this morning during Saturday morning coaching. Not always successful but a good test to see how quick they can get across. Can they stop the other racket dropping to the floor!!

A fab sports week with the children getting involved in lots of sports. Squash, Badminton, Football, Basketball, Curling, Dodgeball, Danish Longball and more!! Looking forward to the next one in the Easter Holidays.

An amazing act of kindness and awesomeness being done by one of our junior Squash Players. I hope some of the squash community (and others) can help him smash through his target

Arthur loves his hair, it’s part of him but for a while now he has said he would love to donate it to someone who needs it and for the past few months he has been regularly measuring and now he’s at the 12 inches, it’s time. It’s not his intention to have short hair, he plans to grow it straight back to where it is again and donate again!

The Little Princess Trust provides wigs to children to help restore their confidence and identity. All costs, including the making, fitting, and styling of the wig, are met by the charity, and this free service is available to any young person up to the age of 24 with hair loss. As part of its Hair and Hope mission, The Little Princess Trust also funds childhood cancer research aiming to find kinder and more effective treatments.

A great couple of afterschool squash sessions today to finish off the week. Today was all about reading the bounce and deciding whether to move forwards or backwards to catch in the cone and then move on to hitting with the racket. The kids loved the cone head game, first child to get to the target amount of catches puts the cone on their head to show they’ve finished, then the next round the winners target score increases making it harder for them. .squash

Great first session of 2026 this morning. Will prob feel it tomorrow. Great little warm up drill here to get the feet moving and coordination and reaction time firing. .squash

At our Monday Night Ladies session yesterday I had a cork as a target to hit, first one to hit it gets a bottle of Prosecco from me. Thankfully I didn’t have to get my wallet out as none managed it despite some very close ones. Today in between sessions I thought I’d give it a try, and I didn’t find it easy at all, in fact miles away most the time! 😂 at least I managed to finish by hitting the phone 😂 as a motivation tool, I’ve never seen the ladies so focused with the chance of winning a bottle of Prosecco up for grabs 😂 .ee_xo .davies.180

Been a great term for getting loads of 2-4 year olds on court and with rackets in their hands. Even getting them hitting as it comes back off the wall. Great fun for the kids and the parents as well. .squash .squash

On my way to deliver my first Community Development Coaching Course for today. Looking forward to meeting some future coaches and hopefully helping them get started on their coaching journey ready to inspire even more players. .squash
