The clay pit fishery formally known as naccolt is a 5.5 acre lake set in the peacefully Kent countryside, the lake is surrounded by woodlands and miles of fields so noise disturbance is very minimal.The lake itself is approximately 8-10ft deep all over apart from one small corner where it drops off the 20ft. At one end of the lake there is a large read bed, at the opposite end of the lake there is

a set of lilies and some snags, you can often find the fish in these areas. The lake holds around 175 carp, many of which are doubles, with 40-50 over 20lb and 4 over 30lb although the number of 30’s is always growing.

Gary enjoyed a great session this week, the warmer weather has certainly pushed the fish into the shallower corners. Gary managed 3 fish during his session with the biggest going 38lb. The 2 pictured are 28lb (common) and 20lb (mirror). Mainline cell bottom baits and around 100 freebies was the winning tactic.
