Dear Managers, Coaches, Players and Supporters,
As we look forward to welcoming you to the Kennington Juniors Mixed Tournament this weekend, we would like to remind everyone of the standards of behaviour expected throughout the event.
Our tournament is designed to provide a safe, enjoyable and positive experience for all children taking part. Whilst we recognise that football is competitive and everyone wants their team to do well, the welfare and enjoyment of the players must always come first.
We therefore ask all managers, coaches, players, parents and spectators to support the FA Respect principles throughout the day:
• Encourage and support all players positively.
• Respect match officials, tournament volunteers and opposing teams.
• Allow children to play, learn and enjoy their football without pressure or intimidation.
• Remain within designated spectator areas and off the field of play.
• Avoid any behaviour, language or conduct that could be considered abusive, aggressive, intimidating or inappropriate.
• Remember that children will often follow the example set by adults around them.
Tournament officials and referees have been briefed to support a positive environment throughout the day. Any concerns regarding behaviour should be reported to Tournament Control or the Club Welfare Officer and not addressed through confrontation on the touchline.
Where behaviour falls below the standards expected, tournament officials reserve the right to speak with managers, issue warnings and, where necessary, take further action to ensure the event remains safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.
We are grateful for the support of all clubs, volunteers and families and look forward to a fantastic day of football.
Thank you for helping us create a positive experience for every child taking part.
Kind regards,
Kennington Juniors FC
