We are a small, friendly and social club based near Ashford in Kent. Saturdays are for league cricket and Sundays for friendlies. New players always welcome.

Pre-season indoor nets from Weds 4th March, 8-9pm @ Towers School - message for more detials👍🏻 Kennington is, in many ways, a typical ‘village’ club even though we are now on the outskirts of a large, rapidly expanding town. Our history dates back to 1845 when our first match can be traced and we have played on our ground at ‘The Ulley’ since 1892. At Kennington we hope that no one plays more in the ‘Spirit of Cricket’ than our little club.

🏏Another couple of wins this weekend would be nice!🏏

The Saturday team are having a much better second half to the season - and after another big win last week are starting to believe they can achieve the great escape!

Oliver the leader is back, Evie Ghaemian turned 17 this week, its a bank holiday AND we love a social, which can only mean one thing - plenty of drinks and some food at the club after the game - everyone welcome!

Also, if i'm not mistaken, maybe it’s Dr Dre's first game of the season?!

The second team are hosts again, this time to our friends Great Chart from just down the road. A strong team out this week - well done all for making selection so easy!

As always - bar open during both games, so please come and show your support.

The Saturday boys, being led by Ed Milloy are away at Northdown, hoping to build on the big win last week!

Tyson comes back in to the bowling attack after the birth of his new daughter (congrats from all at KCC 🫶), and Stuart Lancaster has been allowed to play this week too 🥳

The Sunday legends led by Alex are at home - bar open - happy days! All support of the cricket and the bar very welcome 🙏🏻

🦉We keep fighting!🦉

A great team effort bringing a big win this weekend with a few massive individual performances thrown in too.

Angry Jon and Watto got us off to a flying start with the ball, taking regular Worth wickets and keeping their scoring down. A fight back from the away team was only broken by a ridiculous first over from Evie Ghaemian where she took 3 big wickets - yes 3 in 1 over!

With Worth fighting their way to 164 we knew that we needed to start well - not always the Kennington way!

But brilliant innings of 82 from our leader Oliver and 50* from Chris Wills saw us comfortably home with 6 overs to spare.

We go again this week with great availability already and confidence high.

Shout out David Finch for the roast potatos - and i guess the wicket/ground too 🫡

⛳️ The Owls Annual Charity Golf Day 🦉

Sunday 14th September at London Beach (Tenterden).

This is one of the most important fundraising events of the year for the club. ALL money paid to London Beach is returned directly to the club as a charitable donation.

Included: 18 holes and breakfast - Bacon/Sausage bap and tea/coffee.

Price: £48/person.

First tee: 11am

Format: (New!) Team Texas Scramble. If you're not really a golfer, this is GREAT for you!

The players have stepped up this week with massive availability giving our leader a few selection issues for the first time this year!

🦉 WHAT. A. GAME! What a club! 🦉

Hythe Green (top of the league!) came out swinging and got off to a flyer on Saturday, but we pulled it back brilliantly in the second half with some top bowling. Jamie C was on fire and Tyson kept it super tight – class stuff, lads!

We might’ve put down two really tough chances, but overall our fielding was superb and full of energy.

With the bat, we got off to a great start - 79 for the first wicket! Captain Oliver smashed a quality 50 and there were solid contributions all the way down the order. Big shoutout to Matt Dale, Mithun Gamakumbura and Matt Hambrook for holding their nerve and seeing us home in the final over.

A proper team performance and a well-deserved win. Let’s keep this momentum going! 🙌

Thanks for all of the support from the ‘crowd', it really helped and is most certainly very much appreciated!
