Kennington Summer Fayre takes place on the last Saturday in June each year, on the Recreation Ground in Ulley Road, Kennington, Ashford. Not-for-profit organisations based in Kennington or which have a strong connection to the area are able to hire one of about 40 pitches, with all profits from their stall going to their cause. The Fayre also runs a raffle, and stalls are able to participate in the with the proceeds also going to their cause. Volunteers are always welcome to help with organising the event in advance, and on the day. Please contact us if you would like to help make this an amazing day!

Kennington Recreation Ground, the site for the annual Fayre, will be the starting point for this week's Town Council Litterpick. Meet at 10.00 today, Wednesday 26 August. This is a chance for pupils at Kennington Academy and Downs View Downs View Infant School to help tidy up the environment near their school, so bring them along. Let's hope the thunderstorms have all moved through in time!

Calling all carpenters. Kennington Summer Fayre is looking for a few plywood offcuts to repair our A3 poster boards ready for next year. Please keep us in mind and save some from the skip. We will collect if you tell us where and when.

Fayre Annual General Meeting has been rearranged to Thursday 3 September at 19.30. Meeting will take place at St Mary’s Community Centre, Rylands Road Kennington.

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves yesterday. We think we have taken down all of our banners and posters but, if you see one, please let us know. All Bennett’s and poster boards are re-used each year to keep costs down.
