** Next Fit, Fun & Fabulous Online Strength Programme Drops Today**

🏋️‍♀️ As you may know, if you’ve been following me for a while, we have an online community of people interested in learning more about strength training and using free weights.

🏋️‍♀️ Today I’ve released a further weights programme. New programmes are circulated every 6 weeks and clients run through the programme, independently, twice a week, to complement any other exercise routine. This time we’re focusing on chest, back and shoulders, working through a series of ‘supersets’.

🏋️‍♀️ Supersets are a fabulous weight training formula. They condense the time you need to train – so less rest between sets. They traditionally use opposing muscles groups (the push movement and the pull movement) for each exercise but have evolved to use the same muscles groups to really fatigue that muscle.

🏋️‍♀️ If you’re interested in joining this community and want to know more about strength training, pls get in touch. It’s £30 for each programme, which includes a live or online demonstration of the full programne, a community in which to share your successes as well as queries, online support and guidance throughout the 6 weeks, the loan of specific equipment, if needed, and a leaner, toner body at the end. Back to school 🏫 , Back to Fitness 🏋️‍♀️…

Kick-start your body into action after the summer holidays. Join me in an intensive 4-week fitness programme, starting on 13th Sept.

I’ll provide you with:
💥 Different daily workouts, over the 4 weeks (but, don’t worry the programme will include essential rest days!)
💥The workouts will be between 15-40 minutes long and include a range of different cardio, strength & core exercises
💥 Some days will be easier than others, & all exercises can be scaled to meet everyone’s fitness needs
💥 They will be delivered to you the evening before to allow you any time for questions
💥 All exercises can be done at home whenever you have the time
💥 I’ll be available throughout the 4-weeks for advice, guidance & motivation
💥 You’ll be working alongside a group of other like-minded people to help complete this fitness journey
💥 End of 4-week mapping of improved fitness levels

Thanks to my clients sending me their training posts this summer I now have quite a few more followers. So, however you’ve discovered my account, it’s great to have you here 👋.

I’ve been looking at things from a different perspective this week!

Well, actually I’ve been trying to improve my shoulder strength 💪🏻 by seeing how long I can hold this pose. It’s not proving that successful. I’ve only got to 40 secs so far. Might have something to do with the palm tree 🌴 bark spiking into my feet 🦶 !? Or just need to work at it.

Have a go at this hold and see how long you can hold it. Lmk.

So the kids 👶 are breaking up for summer! 6-8 long weeks!! What to do?

Get in touch if you’re interested in some fun, kid-friendly PT training in your own garden (or mine!).

Keeps them away from their devices, gets them moving and being active, gives you some much-needed time off and guaranteed to put a smile 😃 on their faces.

If your children are planning to enter for School Sports Scholarships next year, now is the time to get them fit and strong 💪🏻. I have experience with working with many children for various Sports Scholarships.

Made some Borage Soup 🥣 today from some of my own freshly grown organic borage. Thought I’d try something new.

I wanted to use some freshly made chicken stock. It’s fab for your body. Chicken broth is rich with essential fatty acids and protein. Both help your body build and repair healthy muscle 💪🏻, bone 🦴 , skin, and blood 🩸 cells.

Chicken broth is also a rich source of minerals like iron. It keeps you fuller for longer, hence restricting calorie consumption. It’s a win, win 🏆

So pleased all the swimming 🏊‍♀️ pools are open again. It’s great to be back helping people to improve their swimming technique.

I love 💕 swimming. Such a good all-round body workout, without pressure on your joints. Helps you calm your breathing 😮‍💨 and relax 😎. Should surely be in your weekly exercise programme.

If the sun 🌞 ever comes out I might be able to reinstate my ‘Water Babes Course’ - teaching those who can swim, to breathe and feel more comfortable underwater.

What Does Your Ideal Workout Week Look Like?

We regularly have this conversation in my classes. Whatever your goal, the government advises at least 150 minutes a week of moderate activity (swimming or brisk walking perhaps?) or 75 minutes of something more vigorous (where talking becomes difficult). It also recommends adding in at least 2 strength sessions.

The ideal number and type of sessions depends on your endgame – whether you want to improve CV health, manage stress, build strength or smash your 5k personal best.

The best plan is one you commit to and you enjoy.

Staying cool 🥶, while exercising in these lovely hot temperatures, is key.

But what about your actual Cool Down?

Cooling / warming-down after exercise allows your body temperature 🤒 , blood 🩸 pressure, and heart rate ❤️ to return to their normal levels.

Stretching your muscles while they're still warm can help to reduce lactic acid buildup, reducing your chance of muscle cramps and stiffness
