Just want to say a big well done to the team this season. We got promoted from division 2 to 1 and showed some quality to finish in 5th position, in what is a tough league with quality teams and players around us.
Up the Ashford.
Let's go again next season and see if we can improve on that.
I would also like to thank Ashford Sport for doing the write ups on the team. When we gave them the results lol. Thankyou.

Sorry for the late post but our good friend from Ashford Sport did a great post for this game.

So on the 6th November we welcomed the Nomads to the Albion. We needed a good result to keep us floating around mid table.

1st on was Sam Smith. Coming off the back of a great game at Medway, He got the job done. Hitting a 180 and finishing the game with a 16 dart leg. winning 4-0. With a 21.55 average.

2nd game on was Pete Tomsett. He went 3-0 up straight away and was cruising. His opponent then won the next 3 legs, taking the game to a decider. He dug in with some nice scoring to win the game 4-3 with a 21.95 average.

3rd on was Josh Payne. We all know the man is a class act. He won the first leg in 13 darts, the second leg in 17 darts, the third leg in 13 darts.
He took the 4th leg in 21 darts and the game 4-0, with a MOM Winning performance and an average of 31.31. Super darts mate 👌

Going into game 4 3-0 up this was looking really good for Ashford.

4th on was Curtis Watts. To be fair there isn't much to say about the game other than he got the job done. Winning 4-0 and making the match 4-0 to Ashford. with a 21.09 average.

5th on was Nathan Blandford. This was for the win. He lost the first 2 legs missing darts at doubles. He turned the game around Winning the next 2 legs. He lost the fifth leg. He won the sixth. Taking the game to a decider. He struggled to find the scoring at the beginning of the leg loosing it and the game 4-3. With a 20.77 average.

6th on was Jason Wilson. Coming off the back of a loss at Medway. He had a point to prove. He won the first leg in 16 darts. He lost the second leg. He then showed us what he's made of. winning the next 3 legs in 17, 18, and 14 darts and the game 4-1. Winning the game for Ashford. With an impressive. 29.27 average. Great darts mate 👍

Going into the last 2 games we were 5-1 up on the night.

7th on was Jack Keutenius. He got of to a flying start, winning the first leg in 18 darts, with a 72 checkout. He missed darts at doubles to make it 2-0, but lost the leg. His opponent started to score hard. He lost the next 3 legs and the game 4-1. with a 25.81 average.

8th on was John Glendinning. Couldn't get the scoring going, loosing the first to legs. He won legs 3 and 4 in 15 and 18 dart with 2 100+ checkouts to take the game to 2-2. But the scoring fell off again loosing the next 2 legs and the game 4-2. With a 25.42 average.

Final score ASHFORD 5-3 NOMADS.

There was some outstanding darts thrown on the night by the lads. Also a much needed win for Ashford.

Tonight with have a rescheduled game against Sheppy. Let's keep this going.

This Wednesday just gone, we travelled up to Medway.
We knew this was going to be one of the tougher fixtures in the calendar as they are fighting for top spot in the league table.

1st game on was Jason Wilson. He found himself 2 legs down. He checked out 87 in leg 3 for a 18 darter. Missing darts a doubles to make it 2-2.
Loosing the leg. He missed darts in leg 5 aswell.
Loosing the game 4-1 with a 23.77 average.

2nd game on was John Glendinning. He lost the first leg. His opponent having a 15 darter. He won leg 2 in 18 darts. He lost leg 3. Won legs 4 and 5.
His opponent won leg 6 to take it to a decider.
He had a 16 dart leg to win the game 4-3, with a 22.70 average.

3rd game on was Doug Wallis. He went 3 legs down. He had chances in legs 2 and 3. He won leg 4 with a nice 92, 2 dart out shot. It wasn't to be loosing leg 5 and the game 4-1. with a 17.52 average.

4th game on was Sam Smith. Coming off the back of a great game the week before, He found himself 1-0 down. His opponent having a 15 dart leg.
He won leg 2 with a 15 dart leg of his own, and a great 107 out shot. He lost the next 2 legs, missing darts in leg 3. He went on to win the next 3 legs and the game 4-3. Hitting 2 180's in the game.
With a 27.81 average and another MOM performance. 2 in a row.

5th game on was Nathan Blandford. With the game at 2-2 it was looking good. He won the first leg, lost the next leg He dug in winning legs 3 and 4. He lost leg 5. He closed the game out in leg 6 with a great display of darts winning 4-2. with a 22.59 average.

Ashford being 3-2 up on the night. It was looking good for a draw at one of the top teams in the division

6th game on was Curtis Watts. Going 3 legs down straight away. He Started well in leg 4 with a 180 to start the leg, going onto win that leg. He had a great start to leg 5, missed doubles costing him the leg and the game, loosing 4-1 with a 23.62 average.

7th game on and locked at 3-3 on the night was Jack Keutenius. He came up against a very strong opponent. Going 2-0 down, He missed darts in leg 3. Loosing the game 4-0. His opponent having legs of 18,13 and 16 darts in the process.
Jack finished with a 25.21 average.
His opponent with a 29.90 average. Not much you can do against that.

8th game on was Pete Tomsett. He won the first leg with a great 110 checkout. He struggled in parts of the game to find his scoring. Loosing the next 4 legs and the game 4-1 with a 21.58 average.

Final score Medway 5-3 Ashford

It was a great night of darts. The Medway team are top lads, food was good.

After that game we are sitting 6th in the league table.
Next week we welcome the Nomads to the Albion. With them just below us in the table. Also them have a game in hand, we definitely need a good result.

We made a short trip down to Sellindge on the 23rd.
With 1 point between us, we needed a win or a draw to stay above them.

1st game on was Jason Wilson. He started well winning the first leg in 18 darts. Missing chances in multiple legs, His opponent winning 4 on the bounce. Loosing the game 4-1 with a 25.74 average.

2nd game on was Nathan Blandford. He went 3-0 up straight away. His opponent won the next 2 legs. He got the job done in leg 6 winning 4-2 with a 21.88 average.

3rd game on was Jack Keutenius. Missing chances in the first leg. He went 2-0 down. He won the next 3 legs on the bounce. He lost the 6th leg. The game going down to a last leg decider.
He took out 66 to win the game 4-3 with a 23.06 average.

4th game on was Pete Tomsett. He lost the the first leg. Then won the next 2 legs. He lost legs 4 and 5. He won leg 6 to take it all the way.
He couldn't find his scoring power loosing the leg and game. 4-3 with a 23.42 average.

5th game on was John Glendinning. He lost the first 2 legs. Won the 3rd leg taking out 80.
He wasn't at the races loosing the next 2 legs and the game 4-, with a 21.76. What a guy. lol

6th game on was Sam Smith. He's been struggling to find his form on a Wednesday night.
He came up against an inform pensioner sorry player lol. He lost the first 2 legs His opponent having 16 and 15 dart legs. Not letting that get in his head, he won the next 2 legs in 15 and 14 darts. He lost the the 5th leg, but won the 6th.
Taking the game to a last leg decider. He closed the game out with a 16 dart leg. Winning 4-3.
With a 27.88 and a MOM performance.

7th game on was Curtis Watts. Locked at 3-3 on the night. A bit of pressure on him to guarantee us a draw. He lost the first 2 legs. He won the 3rd leg.
Lost the 4th, won the 5th. Struggling to find his scoring lost the 6th leg. Loosing the game 4-2 with a 22.31 average.

8th game on was Josh Payne. To guarantee us the draw. He lost the first 2 legs. His opponent having a 16 darter in leg 2. He won the next 2 legs, taking the game to 2-2. Its wasn't to be loosing the next 2 legs. Loosing the game 4-2 with a 26.85 average.

Final score Sellindge 5-3 Ashford

Well done to all the players. Iv said this a lot this season, I feel we could of got a result out of the game. Some great darts thrown.

This Wednesday just gone we welcomed Swanley to the Albion.
Sitting bottom of the table, we needed a good result.

1st game on was Ricky Beaney.
It's always tough going on first. Especially playing someone that's on form.
Loosing the first leg, he had chances in legs 2 and 4. But couldn't find the doubles. Loosing the game 4-0 with a 21.25 average.

2nd game on was Pete Tomsett.
He lost the first leg. He put that behind him winning the next 2. His opponent won the 4th leg making it 2-2. He had an 18 dart leg in the 5th, then closed the game out in the 6th, winning 4-2,
finishing the game with a 21.64 average.

3rd game on was Darren Chapman.
Winning the game 4-0. He had a 19 dart leg in the 4th. Ended the game with a 22.52 average.

4th game on was Curtis Watts.
He went 2-0 up taking out a nice 100 checkout in the first leg. He lost the 3rd leg. But got the job done winning 4-1. with a 22.83 average.

5th game on was John Glendinning.
Going 2-0 up with a 16 dart leg in the 2nd. He lost the next 2 legs.
His opponent having a nice 11 dart leg in the 5th.
Winning the 6th and taking the game to a last leg decider. He had a 17 dart leg to close out the game. 4-3 with a 25.51 average MoM.

6th game on was Jason Wilson.
He lost the first leg missing multiple darts at a double.
He soon found his range winning the next 3 legs in 16, 15, 16 darts. He missed more chances at doubles in the 5th leg, loosing that leg.
He closed the game out in the 6th. Winning the game 4-2, with a 24.16 average.

7th game on was Sam Smith.
The game going with the throw. The game got to 3-3. Missing darts at doubles in the last leg cost him the game. Loosing 4-3 with a 23.30 average.

8th game on was Doug Wallis.
He had chances in a couple of legs but couldn't find the doubles.
Loosing the game 4-0 with a 18.60 average.

Final score Ashford Archers 5-3 Swanley.

There was some great darts thrown by all the players.
Plus a well needed first win for Ashford.
Taking us of the bottom of the table into 5th position.
Hopefully we keep the momentum going now.
This Wednesday coming we have a short journey to Sellindge. With only 1 point between us, we need the win.

This is 1 of 2 games to cover. Going back to the 09/10/24.
The Archers traveled up the motorway to Play Tovil.
We knew this wasnt going to be an easy task. Tovil being top of division 1.

1st game on was Darren Chapman.
Going 2-0 down, he dug in deep to get the back to 2-2 with back to back 16 dart legs. The 5th leg could of been anyone's, both players missing multiple darts at a double.
But it wasn't to be loosing the game 4-2 with a 24.38 average.

2nd Game on was Jason Wilson.
He went 2-0 up with 17 and 19 dart legs. Loosing the 3rd leg. He had a 14 dart leg in the 4th and closed out the game in the 5th leg. Winning 4-1 with a 26.72 average. plus MOM.

3rd Game on was Josh Payne.
Going 1-0 up with a 16 dart leg, loosing the 2nd leg. He then went on to win the next 3 with 19, 18, and 17 dart legs. Winning 4-1 with a 26.56 average.

4th Game on was Curtis Watts.
He was up against a very tough opponent.
Loading the game 4-0. with a 23.04 average.

5th game on was Sam Smith.
Loosing the first leg after missing darts at a double. He won the next leg taking out a 126 for an 18 dart leg. He lost the next 2 legs.
He won the 5th. But lost the 6th leg.
Loosing the game 4-2 with a 24.66 average.

6th Game on was John Glendinning.
Going 2-0 down. He got the game back to 2-2 with 16 and 18 dart legs. He the lost the next 2. Loosing the game 4-2 with a 25.60 average.

7th game on was Pete Tomsett.
He went 1-0 up. He missed multiple darts at a double to make it 2-0. He lost the next 4 legs. Loosing the game 4-1. with a 21.21 average.

8th game on was Nathan Blandford.
He came up against a very strong player.
Going 2-0 down. He had chances in legs 3 and 4, but could take them chances. Loosing the game 4-0 with a 23.95 average.

Final score Tovil 6-2 Ashford Archers.

I feel, if we had took the chances that we had in some of them games, this game could have been a lot closer.
But it was a good showing for Ashford with a respectable 24+ team average.

Well played to all the players. I feel there are good things to come.

We had a good first season in Kent super league Darts division 2.
For the first season playing together, I want to applause all the players, Played some great darts lads.
We ended up finishing 3rd in the division, narrowly missing out on 2nd spot to a good Folkestone team.
Thinking it would be another season in division 2 for at least another season anyway.
We ended up going up into division 1 because some teams had folded.
It will be hard in this division, but I know all of the players have got what it takes to win against anyone. We have made a couple of good signings.
In Daz Chapman and Jason Wilson.
We are already 2 games into the new season and looking good.

Narrowly missing out to Northfleet Eagles 5/3
After being 3/1 up.

We have rearranged our 2nd fixture away to Sheppy. To scared to go over the bridge into the unknown. Not really had a few players on holiday.
This game is getting played on the free week.

Last week we welcomed Folkestone to the Albion.
It was a great night of darts going all the way to a last game decider to come out with a draw 4/4.

So we’re very happy to announce after our first season in division 2 we have been promoted to division 1 after finishing in 3rd in division 2 💪🏼

We welcomed Folkestone Seasiders to the Albion.
Sitting in 4th spot, 1 point behind Folkstone, we needed the win.
We did exactly that winning the first 7 games on the spin.
