Chequertree Fishery Winter League Information page for the Chequertree Fishery Winter League. A six match series over the two lakes, three matches on each. Runs January through to March.

A six match series over the two lakes, three matches on each. 2 Sections of 11 in each match with best five results over the series going towards final results. Should points be equal after this we will go by best total weight over the entire series. Sturgeon will all count as 6lb and need to be witnessed by the angler next door. Runs January through to March.

Last round of our winterleague today on Lake 2. Have drawn the smaller bowl island peg. Had absolute flyer of a start at 14.5m catch small carp and goldfish on meat. After 2h it then dies so had to rotate lines to keep bites coming. Ended up with 66lb for 3rd overall and a section win.
1st on day was Ronnie Seacombe with 91lb 2nd Robert Easterling with 83ln and 3rd myself with 66lb.
That section win guarenteed myself 1st overall, 2nd going to Nick Delahaye and 3rd Rob Easterling.
Been a great series, been very close and weather been challenging. Cant wait for next series 😁

5th round of winterleague. Drawn top bank and was able to position myself directly into wind. Fished a good match and had 22lb of silvers and 4 carp for for 25lb. Fished mixture of short pole and long pole catching nice skimmers with a few goldfish. Had the carp from the margin in latter parts of the match. Was enough for the important section win.
Well done to Steve Davis for the win with 76lb, Robert Easterling for 2nd with 63lb and Jeff Davis for 3rd with 58lb.

Well that was a horrendous round due to the weather. No one could escape! As expected it fished difficult with Damian Ashman winning with 48lb, 2nd Kevin Durman with 38lb and Roy Gudgeon taking 3rd with 32lb by only 3oz!
Myslef iv managed to sneak 2nd in section thanks to a carp hooked just before the whistle. Apologises to Dean Fish who was beating me all match!
Fingers crossed the weather is better for next round in 2weeks 😁

Horrible weather for this round of league. Fished difficult however myself won with 57lb 1oz, 2nd Robert Easterling 33lb 12oz 3rd Conrad Thrower 33lb 5oz and 4th Basher 32lb 15oz.
Winning tactic was a mixture of bomb fishing and long pole.
Look forward to next match in 2 weeks on lake 2.

First Round of a very cold winter league. Couldnt of asked of more winter conditions! Maybe abit of snow. Honours on the day Nick Delahaye with 7lb 2oz and 2nd myself Daniel Corner with 6lb 2oz. 3rd Dean Fish with 4lb 15oz.
