First two bikes are joint bikes of the night as we wrongly believed previous weeks winner wasn’t coming today, but ironically we draughted in a lady to pick and the two people picked two bikes independently that both belonged to a group who travelled together.
Both bikes very much of the built not bought ethos.
Tonight was a great atmosphere and many new people in attendance.
Got a fair bit of feedback over bar Que, every week inability to take cash and give correct change and variable food delays.
Dave and the crew at Ashford bike nights hear and agree with the issues but it’s a tricky fix as we don’t control the bar or kitchen and we don’t get the same staff each week.
Plus the landlord doesn’t come in person.
Which is a shame as Duncan’s a nice bloke, but I can’t help feeling this could be so so much more if the captain of the ship was in attendance and saw how much trade he’s missing when so many people see the Que and just don’t bother to buy another drink or order food.
But overall it’s still a great chilled night, with a great mix of people, fair prices, nice food and I personally like the venue and hope it can grow with the nights popularity.
