Looking for a nice way to start Father’s Day tomorrow?

Take the dog for a morning walk, pop into The Halfway House in Donisthorpe for a bacon cob, cuppa and bake sale treat, then enjoy a nice stroll back. 🐾

We’ll also have a raffle, games, and plenty of space for the kids to have a run around before the rest of your Father’s Day plans.

Hounds Director Kirsty and her 5 year daughter will also be cutting off their hair to donate to the little princess trust for wigs 🧡

🐾Age: 5 Years 11 Months
🐾Breed: Labrador Retriever
🐾Breed fun fact: The Labrador Retriever is an active, friendly, loving dog who thrives on human companionship, wanting nothing more than to please their owners (except perhaps eat anything and everything, and jump in any water they can find!). They are ideal pets for households with children and they get on well with other household animals.
Labradors are a very happy breed, extremely affectionate, constantly wagging their tails and always on the go. They are easily trained, being eager to learn, and to please, and can turn their paw to just about anything. They are total foodies however, which helps with their training, but not their waistlines!
🐾Personality: The happiest chap around!! Murphy comes to school absolutely beaming with energy and bouncing loads ready to come and play with his friends! He’s always upset happy however when nap time comes around, hes out like a light!
🐾Quirks: HAPPY SPINS!! Whenever Murphy is super happy or excited he spins uncontrollably in big, big circles!!
We are having such a blast making fact file Fridays!! Comment below if you would like us to do a fact file all about your dog!! We will pop the names on a wheel and pick a new one out each week!🧡🐾🥰

📢 A little change at Hounds…

After lots of thought, we’ve decided that we’ll no longer be opening for regular daycare sessions on Saturdays.

Unfortunately, Saturday numbers have been too low to make the service sustainable, but we’re excited to use our beautiful woodland site for something a little different instead! 🐾

Going forward, we’ll be hosting:
🎉 Dog Birthday Parties
🐕 Breed Meet-Ups
🌲 Special Woodland Events
🎓 Training & Enrichment Sessions
☕ Community Socials for Dogs and Their Humans

We’re really looking forward to creating more opportunities for dogs and owners to get together, make friends, learn new things, and have fun in the woods.

☕🥓 Bacon, Brews & Bloke Talk 🥓☕
A Father’s Day Fundraiser in Memory of Mick 🧡

In memory of our much-loved staff member Mick, who we sadly lost recently, Hounds is sponsoring a Father’s Day fundraiser to raise money for men’s mental health.

Come and start the day with us over a coffee, a bacon cob and a good old chin wag.

📍 Halfway House Pub, Donisthorpe
📅 Sunday 21st June, Father’s Day
⏰ 9:00am to 11:00am

There will be plenty of benches, a big play area for the kids, parking available in the car park, and lots of space in the surrounding areas too. Children are very welcome, so bring the family along.

As part of the morning, Kirsty and Jorgie, Kirsty’s 5-year-old daughter, will be cutting off their hair at 10:00am and donating it to The Little Princess Trust to help make wigs for children and young people.

The raffle will take place shortly after the hair cutting, and there will also be some fun games to help raise as much money as possible for such an important cause.
