We are absolutely delighted to announce that this yearโs Ashby Hastings Memorial Day raised an incredible ยฃ2,255.50 for Cancer Active Recovery Support.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the day what it was โ the teams and players who took part, everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets, supported the fundraising, volunteered their time, helped behind the scenes, and everyone who simply came along and enjoyed the day with us.
Memorial Day has become such an important part of our club calendar. Itโs a day when cricket brings us together to remember the friends, teammates and loved ones weโve lost, while also giving us the opportunity to do something positive in their memory.
To raise ยฃ2,255.50 for such a worthwhile cause makes us incredibly proud, and it simply wouldnโt have been possible without the generosity of our members, friends, families and the wider community.
A special thank you to Michelle, Lesley and everyone at Cancer Active Recovery Support for joining us and allowing us to support the fantastic work they do.
We played cricket, shared stories, had plenty of laughs and raised a glass together โ exactly what Memorial Day is all about.
