The Derby Summer Tennis leagues started with a dry and sunny evening in Ashbourne in which our Men's 2 played against Woodlands 3. The result ending with a 5-4 win for our men.

Great start to the season gents and hopefully the weather shall stay like this for the rest of the summer.

Well, what a day! The youngsters of Ashbourne Tennis Club came out to play.

A big thanks to Tom Kaul, Sophie Santi, Matt Tavernor and Ella Skelson for representing the club at the Lawson Wood Cup.😊

Even though we came joint last with David Lloyd Derby, we still had a blast and can’t wait to return and bring the trophy home next year… who knows! 😉🏆

Thanks go out to Chesterfield for hosting and all involved in the planning of the event.

Great start to the winter league season for Mens 1 in division 1.

Played 2 won 2.

Always finishing up with a visit to the pub.

No matches till the new year now hoping to carry on the winning ways in 2026.

🎉🍾🎾What a great day celebrating the club and its members with our annual ATC championships!!

On 7 September, we hosted the men’s singles competition and ladies doubles.

Stephen Clough and Chris Davies made it to the final with Stephen taking the men’s singles trophy home!! And Kay and Michelle won the ladies doubles championship, ending the day trophy in hand 🎾✨

Well done to all that participated. Next Sunday we have the men’s doubles and the ladies singles—there is still time to enter!! 👏🏼😊

ASHBOURNE TENNIS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS will take place across two weekends in September.

Men’s Singles & Ladies Doubles
Sunday 7th September (12:30 Start)
Deadline for Entries - 4th September

Ladies Singles & Men’s Doubles
Sunday 14th September (12:30 Start)
Deadline for Entries - 12th September

The events are open to all members aged 11 and above, and will be seeded and where possible arranged on a progressive basis to ensure some fun/healthy competition throughout the events.

The exact format for each event will be decided when the number of entries are confirmed.

The entrance fee will be £6 for singles events and £3 per player for doubles events. Payable on the day.
