A major part of circuit management here at Darley is adhering to the councils footpath closure orders . Every year we have to apply for planning permission to close the footpaths and bridleways which cross the circuit . Full closures are granted for all Racedays and Trackdays. We have to lock and unlock the gates accordingly and on other days put out signage to warn of the circuit in use . Leaving a gate locked would result in a hefty fine ( up to 2k) , so it’s a reasonable responsibility.
