Ceroc Ashbourne Learn to dance, have fun and get fit with Ceroc Ashbourne

04/06/2026

I was having a wander around our Ashbourne venue this evening and couldn’t resist sharing this beautiful sunset.

One of the things I love about dancing here is the setting. Plenty of parking, lovely outdoor space and a really friendly group of dancers waiting inside.

While I was walking around, I started thinking about our Ashbourne Summer Party on 9th August. We had an ice cream van last year and now I’m wondering what else we could do with all this space.

If you’ve never visited Ashbourne before, we’d love to welcome you. It’s a lovely venue and a really friendly night.

And if you’ve already danced with us here, what would you love to see at our Summer Party this year?

A little reminder about Ceroc etiquette and the kind of dance community we are proud to create.

One of the things that makes Ceroc so special is how welcoming and inclusive it is. We all remember what it felt like to be new, nervous, or to wonder if we would be asked to dance.

As leads, if someone asks you for a dance, our ethos has always been to say yes wherever possible.

Of course there are genuine reasons to say no. You may need a drink, a breather, a quick shirt change, or to nip to the loo. That is absolutely fine. But if you do need to say no, the polite thing to do is make a point of going back and asking that person for a dance later.

Repeatedly turning people down can really knock their confidence, whether intended or not.

At Ceroc Inspire, we dance because we love connection, community and making people feel welcome. Who someone is, what level they dance at, their age, size, or how long they have been dancing should never determine whether they are worthy of a dance.

Let’s keep looking out for one another and making sure everyone leaves feeling included, valued and glad they came.

That is the Ceroc way.

It is a creative category that focuses on musicality, styling, and connection

We will be teaching a selection of the pset of 9 moves across the month, building them up step by step

It is something a bit different, a bit more expressive, and a really nice way to develop your dancing

You do not need to be competing to enjoy it
Just come along and get involved at your own pace

You are not invisible here

Some people go through days without being spoken to properly
without connection
without feeling seen

That is why this matters more than people think
