Ash RFC are a rural village rugby club who believes in the core values of rugby: teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.

We have a strong adult section, with a ever thriving minis and youth section.

Our 30th Anniversary Ball & Dinner was a fantastic way to celebrate three decades of rugby, friendship, and club spirit. From great entertainment to some very questionable dance moves, it was a night to remember! 🕺💃

A huge thank you to:
🏛️ The Guildhall for hosting us in such a fantastic venue
🍽️ Tayberrys Foods for the excellent catering
🍻 Your Events Group for helping set up the event and keeping everyone refreshed behind the bar throughout the evening
🪩 Martins Mobile Disco for providing the music in the evening, for us to sing and dance too!

A special thank you also goes to all the men and women who worked so hard to organise the event and make the evening such a success.

This time last week, members of our committee and 1st XV travelled to Ashford International Hotel, to collect the Kent Rural A winners plaque. This was at the Kent Rugby Dinner and Awards Evening, in which we have attended for the last few years now.

It was a fantastic evening of celebrating rugby union in Kent, seeing other teams being successful within their leagues and cup competitions. Thank you to Kent RFU for a lovely evening 🏆

What a fantastic way to round off the season 🍾🏉

On Saturday 23rd May, Ash RFC hosted our annual End of Season Dinner & Awards Evening — a brilliant night celebrating a hugely successful year for the club and our league-winning 1st XV.

With the hottest weather of the year so far, the shorts and salmon chinos made an appearance as players, supporters and club members gathered for an evening full of great food, speeches, awards, laughs and celebrations. Huge thanks go to Kerry, Ben and Joe Brabham for preparing an excellent meal, while old photos and memories from past seasons kept everyone entertained throughout the evening.

A special moment of the night was recognising Steve ‘Hoppy’ Hopkins for an incredible 30 years of service to Ash RFC. One of the club originals, Hoppy continues to pull on the shirt and this season even shared the pitch with all three of his sons — a first in Ash history 👏

The evening finished in style with the Ashcars, live music from Debby and plenty of dancing as the club celebrated long into the night.

The DASH U14s put in a big shift at this weekend’s Kent 7s, working through a tough draw with a split squad. They didn't come home empty-handed.

The squad was stretched thin this weekend, with some players unavailable while completing their Duke of Edinburgh commitments at Manwoods. Despite missing key personnel, those who wore the shirt stepped up, proving the depth of the U14s' squad.

It was a balanced weekend of rugby against a high standard of competition, particularly from the London sides. The team showed great consistency across the board with 3 wins and 3 losses.
After finishing 3rd in a competitive group of five, the team qualified for the Plate Final. Unfortunately they narrowly lost out in the final, the effort to reach the podium in a prestigious regional tournament is a massive achievement. 🏉

Well done to all the players involved, have a great summer break 💚🤍

What a way to wrap up the rugby season! Sunday’s Folkestone Festival showed exactly what our club is all about. From the Under 8s to the Under 10s, the spirit, growth, and determination on display were nothing short of incredible.

It was a day that tested the mettle of our U10s, and they rose to the challenge brilliantly. Facing tough opposition, they showed exactly why they belong at the top level:
3-3 draw, in a physical battle with Maidstone.
6-2 clinical win ,over Gillingham.
3-2 victory, against Folkestone.
3-5 loss, in a hard-fought game vs Pulborough.
A fantastic end to a season that has seen this age group grow in both skill and character. We couldn’t be prouder of your efforts today.

The U9s finished their season on a massive high, delivering a masterclass in teamwork and tenacity. With a squad of just five players, they dominated the field with 5 wins from 5 games:
9-1 vs Thanet
8-4 vs Oakham
9-1 vs Folkestone
9-1 vs Deal & Betteshanger
7-5 vs Ashford
With only four losses across the entire year, the transformation of this group has been Remarkable. Opposition coaches were lining up today to praise their defensive grit and clinical offloading game.

Our U8s also had a fantastic showing at their festival, playing with smiles on their faces and showing a huge amount of progress. The future of the club is looking very bright with these stars in the making!

To our parents and supporters: thank you. This club exists because of your dedication. You provide the foundation that allows these boys and girls — who are closer than any other team around, to improve and thrive.
Enjoy the well-deserved break! We can’t wait to see you all back in September as we move up to U9, U10, and U11 rugby.

Whilst not rugby fixtures… we have events that are going on throughout the summer months, which the club are involved with. We want you to be involved too! 🫵

Mark these in your diaries, last year they were all a great occasion and everyone left with a smile on their face. The last ball we had was a similar outcome! There’s chances to celebrate the season and dance until the night is done. 🕺🏻💃

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the season at Ash Rugby Club! ☀️🏉

Our Minis and Juniors End of Season Party on Sunday was a huge success. The kids had an amazing time enjoying all the fun and games, and it was great to see so many smiling faces all around. Even better, the parents left just as happy after a brilliant Sunday morning spent in the sunshine!

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special.
Not only that, but thank you to everyone for their continued support thorough out the season 🤍💚

One last push to go for our Minis, who have their final fixture of the season this Sunday at the Folkestone Festival — let’s finish strong! 💪🏉

We going celebrate this hard season, with our 1st XV End of Season dinner and awards night, on Saturday 23rd May. We also have our 30th anniversary Ball and Dinner on 6th June 🍽️ 🎉

The final score is in from today’s game vs Weavering Warriors and Ash slip up short for their last game of the season.
Weavering 41-36 Ash.

Whilst not the result the men in green and white were after - they gave their all against a determined Weavering side today and with the hot and hard conditions, as they have been today, we can all be proud of their efforts 👏

Despite todays result, we have our End of Season dinner and awards night on 23rd May, where we celebrate a special 2025/2026 season 🏆
