Inspiring classes for children aged 2+, in a caring and nurturing environment. Here at The Boathouse Ballet School, we hope to pass on our love of dance and music, along with the plethora of life skills that ballet teaches! As well as encouraging good posture and a healthy lifestyle, ballet fosters creativity, musicality, self-confidence, empathy - and patience! Concentration and listening skills

are honed and children are required to cooperate with others, as well as performing alone. Alongside free work and improvisation, pupils will be prepared for exams, providing them with both a tangible aim and performance opportunity. Ballet is a disciplined art form, and the standards of behaviour and dress we expect from the children is high. At the same time, we would like our pupils to be, above all, excited to come to their ballet lesson, to have fun, be inspired, and soak up our love of ballet. We hope that this passion and appreciation will stay with them, no matter where life takes them!

Huge congratulations to George who has been awarded a place as a Junior Online Associate of the Royal Ballet School and has been placed on the short waiting list for an in-person place for Year 6 in London. George, who joined The Boathouse in January, has really applied himself, making great progress with his ballet technique and he thoroughly deserves this success. Huge congratulations to little Emma who has been awarded a place as a Junior Online Associate of the Royal Ballet School and has been placed on the short waiting list for an in-person place for Year 4 in Eastleigh. Emma was the second-youngest child to audition in Eastleigh making this achievement even more impressive. Over the moon to announce that we have a new Junior Associate of the Royal Ballet School! Huge congratulations to Arno who has been awarded a coveted place as a Year 5 JA in Eastleigh. You deserve this so much Arno and we are delighted that your passion, talent, effort and potential have been recognised. Arno has the opportunity to attend JAs with the lovely Miss Cooper on Saturdays, alongside his lessons at The Boathouse.
