Arnesby May Fayre

There will NOT be a May Fayre in 2022. We are hoping to put on a similar event later in the summer.
Spring Bank Holiday has become Platinum Jubilee weekend in June so we felt many communities would be holding their own celebrations.

Much like the Buckingham Palace tea parties, our logistics deadlines came and went early in February this year.
We took the decision that it would be folly to attempt to organise an event which might not take place.
We believe we were right and any May Fayre this year would still be under tight controls and/or still present a risk to those attending.

We thank you for your continued patience and we must hope that 2022 will see Arnesby May Fayre back in it's rightful place.

It is with enormous regret that we must confirm that Arnesby May Fayre 2020 is CANCELLED.

There is no way we can even hold a scaled-down event in these current times.

The only other time we have cancelled a May Fayre since it's introduction in 1979 was during the foot and mouth outbreak in 2001.

We will begin planning for 2021.
Meanwhile, we wish you all a wonderful year.

For our many guests who arrive by helicopter into Bruntingthorpe, we have developed an eco-friendly courtesy transfer vehicle.
Here it is being tested by our chief engineer/bored farmer!

If it ever stops raining (!) we intend to do it all again on Spring Bank Holiday Monday May 25th 2020.

Yet again Arnesby welcomes visitors - a great day was enjoyed by all.

On a slightly overcast but pleasantly warm Sunday, a number of Arnesby residents threw their freshly painted garden gates open to allow members of the public in to visit their well manicured gardens, lawns and borders.
A total of £1800 was raised for St. Peters church, so well done, and thank you, to all those who took part.
