Armagh City U11 2 v Windmill Stars 1
We have only gone and won the treble!!!
In this inaugural year where the winners of the MUYL play the winners of the Lisburn & Castlereagh League, we emerged victorious to complete an impressive treble:

The game started slowly with neither team getting into any sort of rhythm. We were solid at the back and had Riley having to stand in for our normal goalkeeper Oliver, who picked up an injury before the game.
The one incident of note in the 1st half was when Windmill took a long range free kick which rebounded off our crossbar to safety. 0-0 at half time.
Into the 2nd half and we made a few changes that helped us settle. Daniel was very unlucky not to have his shot from out on the wing nestle in the top corner when it hit the angle of post and bar. We then won a free kick which Daniel swung in. It fell to Fionn who blasted it towards goal and Callum was able to get his chest to it and direct it away from the defence and over the line. 1-0.
We kicked on from here and after the best move of the match, Callum squared one for Aidan who tucked it into the corner. 2-0.
We should have managed the game better but some sluggish defending allowed their player to hit a worldie into the top corner, leaving Riley no chance.
Naturally we dropped back and tried to defend the lead with only a few minutes left and ultimately we succeeded with notable last ditch clearances by Fionn and Pearse seeing us home.
The referee blew the whistle and there it was - treble winners!!!
