We are almost at £600 mark! How amazing are you all!
Sadly, we have had yet another week of barely any customers . Definitely no where close to making enough money to function.
Rent for us is now almost 2 weeks late and then will be due again in 2 weeks. Without £2500 we truly cannot continue to remain open.
We are barely making enough to pay staff, overheads such as gas, water, electricity, food stock, cleaning products, WiFi, the list goes on! Our lease ends in Sept which is when we would have renewed but it truly looks like this may well be the end of our wee space approaching :(
One last push to try cover the rent and keep our space going . We are actively applying for funding - we have applied for council funding and sadly didn’t get it. We continue to look at possibilities. I personally have taken no salary from the space in months. Instead I’ve put money in to keep it going but with it now being a charity - I can’t input anymore as it looks like I’m making huge donations that we aren’t actually getting. It’s not an easy situation to be in but seeing all those wee kids who pass through our door makes me so determined to keep the space. We do so much more than meets the eye. We support parents. We help with a wee bit rest bite for those who are struggling . We advise and guide. We go into schools and advocate . We provide basic supplies for those who need .
If 250 people donate £10- we make it. If everyone who sees this donates £1 we get closer. If you can’t donate but can take a second to share - we get closer . If you can visit our space- we are closer . Without support a charity doesn’t continue. We are trying to get through this so we can make a stronger plan to sustain moving forward.
