We wish to let everyone know that arbroath rifle club will be closing from Saturday 9th May and re opening Monday 1st June for planned refurbishment.

That’s us now open for 2026 🎉🎉
We hope you all had a wonderful time over the festive season.

Moving forward this week is for members only
And as of next week 19/1/26 we will be able to take new people for tester evenings but by appointment only due to a massive amount of people looking to come along.
We can only facilitate a certain number each night due to demand of our current members shooting competition cards and amount of rifles we currently hold.
So if you wish to be booked in drop us a message from the 15th onwards and we will give a date and time for you to come along. NO WALK-INS will be permitted without appointment just now to help with the ease of running our club.

Just a reminder that we are open Monday and Wednesday evenings 7-9pm with last entry for new comers 8.20 due to paperwork, walkthroughs and safety briefings to be done prior to any firing. Taster nights are £12 per night .

Last night we ended 2025 with a festive shoot.

Targets were made by one of our youth members Lily and were a fantastic hit with all the members.

Pictured were some of our adult shooters of the night along with our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place adult winners.

Youths
1st place was Rhylie with a score of 14
2nd place was Lily with a score of 13

Adults
1st was Fiona with a score of 25
2nd was Doug with a score of 20
3rd was Craig with a score of 19

Well done all with tonight’s shoot which focused on firing 20 rounds with a highest score of 34 points available depending on what targets you choose to go for.

This helps hone the skills of our shooters with some of them Litrelly threading the eye with some of these high point targets.
You all done amazingly.

Arbroath Rifle Club would like to thank everyone that has came along this year and can’t wait to open our doors again in a couple of weeks starting out 2026 with a bang! 😜

Club members will return as normal week commencing 12/1/26 7-9pm
Public shooters will be able to come along from the following week (19/1/26) at our usual days and times.
This allows our members that are competition shooting to get back and into the swing of things with all coaches helping facilitate this with ease.

On Monday night chairman Charlie presented one of our shooters Steve with a cheque of £400 to be donated to Ataxia UK after holding a charity shoot earlier this summer.

The rifle club once again thanks everyone that took part in our charity shoot and for all the member and friends that helped out on the night.

‼️🚨 Due to the increased weather warning now being Amber we have taken the deduction to not open Arbroath Rifle Club tomorrow night (Monday 4th August).
Keep safe and only travel if you need to.
At the moment Wednesday night is open as usual. But will be updated here if that changes. 🚨‼️

On behalf of everyone at Arbroath Rifle Club we would like to thank everyone that attended our charity shoot on Friday night.

We had 30 shooters taking part with the awards as follows:

1st place non member - Kai McDermott
2nd place - Jonny McDermott
Oops award - Steven Murray

1st place member of the night - Ken Bruce.
2nd place member - Lily Souter
Oops award - Dave Ramsay

Our chairman added,

“Friday night was a great busy night. All members going above and beyond to make it a great night.
We had young to old shooting from first time to experts and the top prize won by the youngest shooter.
We will hopefully do this again soon with a few points learned and taken on board.
Thanks to all that turned up 👏👏”

Arbroath rifle club would like to welcome you all to our new public page after having a closed group for so many years.

We would love to see new people take up this sport and become part of Arbroath Rifle Club.

Arbroath Rifle Club has a 25 meter indoor range allowing .22 rifle shooting over 4 lanes. With 2 lanes also adapted for air rifle shooting at 10 meters.

We currently open on Monday and Wednesday evenings 1900-2100 and supply all shooting equipment, rifle and coaching.

If you are 12 years of age or older then you are able to come along and take part.
Between the ages of 12&18 a parent or guardian (over 18 years of age) must be present at all times.

We have a youths team as well as an adults team taking part in competitions.

If you have your own rifle we need to see all the appropriate certification/licenses.

If you are interested then please drop us a message and we can discuss things further and arrange for you to come in and have a look about and fire in our range with one of our coaches.
