Haven’t posted for ages but Dawn and I are still beavering away delivering a range of short courses and CMI/L and D qualifications and thoroughly enjoying our MidasWorks journey.

I was watching a Simon Sinek video this morning and he was asked “What is the kindest thing anyone ever did for you?” And he explains how mentors and leaders have given freely of their time to take his calls and discuss his vision and goals. Years ago I did a 360 degree evaluation of my leadership skills. The team asked that I visit the outreach centres more. Not only when there was a problem. I have never forgotten that. They just needed a little bit of my time. If you are a manager or a leader, have a think about this. Does anyone need a little bit of your time?

Graduation day is a special day for families and friends to come together to recognise and celebrate years of hard work. Huge congratulations to my student, Claire Mcguigan, who graduated with a cmi level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management from Dundee and Angus College. Claire was also awarded best cmi candidate. It was an absolute pleasure to be Claire’s assessor.

Glowing reports for Dawn and I over the past 4 months. 20 CMI Coaching award candidates completed with great feedback from IV/EV, D & A CMI student of the Year for level 5 diploma in leadership and management candidate, External Verification visit for A and V awards highlighted a range of best practice for delivery and assessment. And we continue to work with a huge range of businesses all over NE Scotland. It doesn’t feel like work when we enjoy what we do. 7 year (I think) anniversary coming up! Dawn - a celebratory night oot is needed!

Apologies for fb absence. Things have been a tad manic! Have worked with Wrights Dental Suppliers for 3 years now on a range of different courses and it is always great fun. This was yesterday’s happy group. When work doesn’t feel like work!

Like most of our delivery this year, our end of year party had to be held over Teams! But my IT skills are obviously not quite as good as they used to be and our "team photo" has ended up as a frame only!! lol!! We are forever grateful for all the support throughout the year. We wish you, your family and friends, a very Merry Xmas and all good things for 2022. Dawn and Mina xx

I have received two comments this morning which have made me reflect on how lucky and grateful I am to do the job I do. One from a student from 1999 "..... Thanks Mina. I was taught by the best ...." and one, this morning, from a cmi candidate who is a busy Care Home Manager juggling work and study "Thanks for all your help Mina. You have been fantastic and made everything so easy to understand". Today is D & A College Graduation Day - the perfect day to reflect on personal journeys, forget the challenges and celebrate the successes. Huge congratulations to all students and staff. Enjoy your day. You deserve it!

The best bit of our Train the Trainer course is when the delegates have to train me in a small part of their job role. This is me packing and wrapping. A wee while before I am up to speed to be able to join the Tradeprint workforce but a very enjoyable day!

Being taxi driver for grandson no 2 gives me some quiet time to prep for next week while watching him play football!! Mobile office! Nae really comfy but will give me free time at weekend so every cloud.
