A wonderful way to spend tartan day in Arbroath with the Kilties πŸ₯°

Did you know the 6th of April marks the day the Declaration of Arbroath was signed in 1320? Today we celebrated that day at the place where the declaration was signed all those years ago, Arbroath Abbey. We joined the procession through the high street, past the harbour and finished with a dance on Beacon Green beside the signal tower. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thank you to Friends of Arbroath Abbey for having us along to dance and celebrate our wee hometown. πŸ’œ

Another lovely day spent in Dundee at the weekend. It was nice to see a couple of Kilties back dancing again after a wee break away from competitions 😍 Also to see a few dancers trying out new dances that they've been working extra hard on recently. It's not easy trying to overcome nerves but we are so proud of your courage and determination πŸ’œ Super well done to everyone!

Special mention to Daniella winning the Ernie Mitchell Trophy for Most Points Angus Kilties and the last first place she needed to move into Novice. Good luck in your new group πŸ€

Some of our Kilties attended the Dundee Championships yesterday and what a great start to our 2026 competition season it was ✨

Our dancers have been working hard over the winter break and did a fantastic job, with some of them even trying out new steps and dances which can be extra nerve wracking. A special mention to our baby Kiltie Elsie, who competed for the first time and was not phased in the slightest!πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡

Congratulations to our finalists for beginners, Iona and Daniella and for Intermediate, Eilidh and Martha. Also to trophy winners Daniella, Most points 9 Beginners and Martha, Most points 13 Intermediate. πŸ†πŸ†

Well done dancers πŸ€©πŸ’œ
