⚽ Appley Bridge U13s – New Players Wanted! ⚽

Our Under 13s are looking for 3 new players to join their friendly, low-to-mid level team. Whether your child is developing their skills or just wants to enjoy football in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Training takes place every Friday from 7–8pm at St Peter's High Scool, focusing on teamwork, confidence, and player development.
Bring them along, make new friends, and be part of a great squad.

Our U10s had a fantastic match against Hindley Juniors today. A fast-paced match with goals from both sides!
The boys continue to work hard every week and it is a pleasure to see their confidence growing.

Despite the poor weather some of our teams tied up their boots and got back on the pitch today, to kick off the new year ⚽️

Shout out to our youngest team, the under 7s, who faced two good games today.
Everyone worked hard and supported each other.

Parents player of the match Harry was awesome in goal, brave and saved everything.

Coaches player of the match Bobby also had a great game, ran his socks off and scored a great goal.

Well done to everyone today, and thank you to the coaches for their support.

Shout out to our u7s today who had a good game in bad weather conditions. Great to see how the players are improving and playing well as a team. They are creating more chances and will only continue to progress.

🎉⚽ What a Night! Our First Annual Sportsman's Dinner was a HUGE Success! ⚽🎉

We are absolutely delighted to report that our first annual Sportsman's Dinner event, held last night, at Gathurst Golf Club, was a resounding triumph! 🏆

It was truly fantastic to see so many from the club and the wider community come out to support the event and make it such a special night. The atmosphere was incredible, and we were thoroughly entertained all evening

A huge thanks to the one and only Jon Parkin for sharing his brilliant and hilarious football stories!
John Gillan kept us all on our toes with his comedy set.

The entire evening was expertly guided and MC'd by the excellent Jamie Sutherland!

A massive thank you to everyone who supported our raffle and auction. Because of your amazing generosity, we managed to raise some vital funds that will directly support the football club and help us achieve our goals this season!

None of this would have been possible without the tireless work, dedication, and superb planning of our First Team Manager, Ryan Craven. Ryan, your efforts were truly incredible so thank you 🙌

On a wet and windy Alder Lane pitch that held up superbly, Appley Bridge U16 paid poignant tribute with two minutes’ silence and lone bagpipes for Remembrance Day before the battle began.

ABFC raced ahead through Luke, Eccleston equalised, then Will’s penalty restored control. Further goals from Riley, Will, Luke and Thomas built a commanding 6-1 lead. Though Eccleston pulled one back, Luke’s late hat-trick strike sealed a 7-2 win. Friends, schoolmates and a former teammate clashed competitively but respectfully, under a schoolmate referee. Appley Bridge maintain their 100% league record.
Fully deserved Man of the Match: Luke, utterly outstanding today.

⚽️ A game of two halves today for the Under 15s today. We got caught out in the first half with balls over the top and went into the break at 2-2. Not our best performance in the first half but we told the lads at half time that if we could keep a clean sheet second half we’d win the game.

After a few tactical changes we were much better second half, winning the first and second balls and pressing a decent Cherrybrook team all over the pitch - we were at our best and dominated the rest of the game.

A good learning experience for the lads and every one of them stepped up to get the 3 points with a 6-2 win in the end.

Big shout out to man of the match Ellis, who sat deep and protected the back four brilliantly second half, and played a huge part in the turnaround in performance and ultimately the win 💪🏻

Some big games coming up over the next few weeks, so it was good to be back after half term with strong display.

That’s 4 wins, one draw and one narrow defeat for the lads so far this season with some great performances - hopefully we can go from strength to strength between now and Chirstmas! 💪🏻

Seb (U8s) and Jonah (U12s) both clinched the Man of the Match award for their respective ABFC teams! What an amazing achievement for this footballing family! ⚽️

Everyone is still catching their breath after today's clash for the Under 18s.

Going 0-3 down, then 2-5 at half-time, most teams would drop their heads. But not these lads! The mentality and resilience shown in the second half were absolutely unbelievable.

They dug deep, they fought for every ball, and they pulled off an EPIC comeback, eventually winning 8-7!

We are immensely proud of every single player for showing such heart and determination. This is what football is all about! ⚽️💪🏻

A great win for Appley Bridge U12’s today, after going a goal down early on, the boys battled hard and thanks to George went into the break 4-2 up..!

The second half was much tighter, despite a come back from the opposition the team dug deep and went on to win 5-3

Difficult to single any individual performance out, today. The team played well from the back to the front, great team effort…
