It was a pleasure to host the One Day Team Trophy today.

Well done to all the teams who took part. The weather was far from ideal, but it certainly didn’t dampen spirits.

Congratulations to Appleby on a fantastic victory. Their last win came back in 2008, with some members of that winning side still playing in today’s team — a remarkable achievement!

A special well done to our very own County Captain, Jill Thompson and all of her team for their efforts and commitment throughout the competition.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success.

We're ready for the BIG ONE!!!

The Men's County Strokeplay Championship gets underway at Appleby Golf Club this Saturday and the 1st Round tee times have been announced.

The weekend will be gruelling for the competitors as they battle it over 72 holes to determine who will leave with the County Champion title and go on to represent Cumbria at the England Golf County Champions Tournament.

The defending champion Rory Thompson will begin his defence at 8.24am.

11 time champ Will Bowe gets underway at 9.36am while current leader in the CUGC Master Golfer standings Jack Hunter heads our at 9.18 in the company of Men's County Captain Simon Young.

May the best man win 💪🏆

What a fantastic evening of cheese and wine!

A huge thank you to Keith Taylor, whose expert knowledge and great humour made the evening both informative and entertaining. Special thanks also to Chris for his amazing selection of cheeses from Appleby Creamery.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped create such a wonderful atmosphere. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and sharing a memorable evening together.
