2014 SWIFTS 3 - 2 Chimney Corner
A well deserved win in the local derby today.
The Swifts had all the possession in the first 10min, but couldn't create the space to shoot,
Chimney Corners only attempt on target in the first half resulting in a goal due to a mix up in our defence.
The Swifts re-grouped and went into the second half fully focused and didn't give them a chance, we scored 3 goals from Lucas, and the boys kept the game under control.
Our G/K controlled the back line well and his decision making was on piont
today,
he was unlucky in the last min to concead to a free kick.
All the Swifts played really good football resulting in a well deserved

Another night at the rovers academy for this young group of boys & girls. They showed plenty of skill & energy on the pitch.

🔴⚫️⚽️ A tough end to our tournament for the 2016s.
After topping our group with an impressive 4 wins from 4, we went on to face Ballykeel in the final. After a hard-fought match finished O-0, it came down to the dreaded penalty shootout, with Ballykeel edging it 2-1.

So proud of every single player today for how well the played today and everyone played their part to bring home the trophy.

After the disapointment last week the boys were determined to put it right this week and to go the whole day undeated and win the shield was exceptional
The boys played brilliant through the group stages and the final was always going to nervous for them... they attacked and defended brilliant and thomas with a great solo run up the pitch to score the only goal in the final was brilliant
The referee said it was the best goal he had seen scored the whole day
Well done boys you all deserve that for all the hard work put in this year

Another brilliant performance from the boys tonight again playing some great passing football at times and defending brilliant against to strong teams tonight and was 2 great games to watch as it was end to end
Unlucky not to score a few more goals tonight with the opposition goalkeepers pulling off some great saves but couldnt fault the team
