Friday night!

34 u12s from the Town took to the field!

A smashing performance from our u12 South Antrim squad against Lámh Dhearg ll’s at our Dunsilly pitch brought everything to the table. Tackling, turnovers, transitions and a plethora of points! This is a performance that has been coming since the lads first fielded a few months back.

Our south west squad back at Townparks also provided an outstanding performance! They showed massive growth from the same outing a year back against Casements and can be proud of their application to training. Great passages of team play led to some fantastic turnovers and scores!

On Tuesday night our senior ladies and their coaches Ben and Rory had a well deserved team bonding evening, starting with a session at Padel Society then on to have some food and drinks in the cricket club🍕🍟

Big thanks to the staff at Padel Society for kindly hosting us and providing refreshments🙌🏼

A great evening to reward the hard work the girls have put in so far all the way from pre season until now, and also a great excuse to whack a few balls at their coaches! 💚🤍

🟢 U14 Girls Championship 🟢

Our U14 girls kicked off their championship campaign last night against a strong Portglenone side - and what a thriller of a match it was from start to finish 👏

It was very much a game of two halves. The girls went in slightly behind at the break, but after a strong half-time team talk, they knew they had to find another gear and that’s exactly what they did!

Their determination and fight were outstanding, especially in the final 10 minutes when they really started to drive the scoreboard forward.

A huge moment came when Dacey Devine who stepped up and took her chance for another point which dropped into the back of the net to put us one point ahead 👏

From there, the battle for possession was relentless. The girls showed incredible resilience, never backing down, and a crucial save along with a foul on keeper Kelsi - disallowed what could have been a game-changing goal for Portglenone.

An incredible comeback performance from the Naomh Comhghall girls, who fought hard to secure the win and now look ahead to the quarter-finals next week 💚

A big thank you to Portglenone for a fantastic and competitive game — we wish you all the best for the rest of the season. Thanks also to Terry Park for officiating. Antrim LGFA

🙌 Sunday, our u8s hosted All saints and Moneyglass at St Comgalls pitch, and although we were light on numbers coming off the back of the holidays, we weren't light on energy and determination.

Both opposition teams had the numerical advantage but we played as if we had the extra man.
💪 The lads were absolutely outstanding!

Thank you to the young whislers Kiran, Cohan, Ronan and Oisín who gave up their time to come down and referee the matches. It was greatly appreciated 👏

🏐Training is on Friday at St Josephs school pitch from 17.00-18.00
New and returning players very welcome along.
