Hi everyone! I’m an Open University student currently conducting a small environmental science project on Pittenweem Tidal Pool, in the East Neuk of Fife. I’m seeking detailed reflections from anyone who uses or visits the pool.
I’m interested in your thoughts on how the pool impacts your visits to the coast and your feelings of connection to the environment. We are looking for an outdoor instructor or assistant to run land activities and/or kayaking/ paddleboarding sessions and hires from late May to approximately end of August 26.
Mostly weekend, evenings and Fife summer holidays .
Must haves - minimum 8hr first aid certificate, 18yrs or over, experience working with a variety of groups and individuals, flexible, outgoing and awesome.
Super desirable - Archery and axe throwing experience , Paddlesports Instructor award.
Based in Cellardyke, Anstruther 👍
£13 - £15 per hour depending on quals/experience.

Adult kayak course 5th , 12th and 19th May 🛶🛶
£140pp 6pm to 8pm
This course is designed for adults starting out on the water for the first time. The course is based over three ½ day or three evening sessions and covers equipment information, skills/techniques to get you going on the water and safety/rescue information or practice — depending on how wet you want to get!

Session 1 and 2 are in the tidal pool area with the last session on the sea for a wee trip (weather and sea state dependant).

18 years plus — No experience required!

All equipment is provided (wetsuit, buoyancy aid, cagoule, kayak and paddle). Please bring shoes that will get wet, a towel, swimwear and any medication required.

11th and 18th May (evenings)

On this Paddle UK Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course candidates will explore simple strategies and safe skills that can provide the tools to solve common paddling issues.

Paddle Scotland Logo The course is suitable for all ages and great for individuals, aspirant Paddlesport Instructors and groups wanting to expand their safety practices when on the water. The course content focuses on rescuing from the paddlers specific craft and covers equipment, safety frameworks, as well as a range of rescues including contact and towing rescues, self-rescues and deep water rescues.

All equipment provided - please bring shoes that will get wet, a towel, lunch, drinks, snacks, warm clothes, swimwear and any medication required
