Rawlins Basketball Club Rawlins Basketball Club currently has two senior mens' basketball teams playing in the Leicestershire Local Basketball League

Previously based at Rawlins College, Quorn, we now play in one of Leicestershire's premier basketball facilities, at Rushey Mead Academy, just off Melton Road, in the heart of Leicester's multi-cultural Belgrave district in Leicester East.

The Christmas Gateway Basketball Club Vs Rawlins Basketball Club friendly ended in a win for Rawlins, but more importantly it also ended with some lovely food courtesy of Paddy's Marten Inn, Leicester.

27 of us piled in, as we say goodbye to 2025 and prepare for the second half of the season in 2026.

Thanks to everyone who attended, and best wishes to everyone who could not make it.

Rawlins B ran out 12 point winners vs Melton Kings Basketball Club A this Thursday, making it 2 wins on the bounce!

Martin lead the way in the 1st quarter with a huge 16 points, with Josh eventually topping the scoring charts with a whopping 27 point game.

Great to see Josh Po***ck playing again and forming good chemistry with his new teammates!

Next up for Rawlins B is a trip to Oadby Royales on Monday, where they will hope to extend their winning streak.

This Monday Rawlins A travelled to face a much improved Oadby Royales team at Beauchamp College.

Royales ran out to a 22-13 first quarter lead, slicing through the Rawlins zone defence at ease.

After making some adjustments, Rawlins came out strong in the second quarter, which continued into the third, conceding just 9 points over the next 20-minute stretch to turn the game on its head.

Rawlins were eventual 21 point winners in a match which threatened to derail their perfect start to the league campaign.

7 wins from 7 leaves 11 more to play after the Christmas break, starting with Rawlins A vs Rawlins B on the 8th January.

Before then, we have a Christmas friendly at Gateway on Tuesday 16th December, followed by a football session on Thursday 18th December.
