Massive congratulations to our Ladies Fours team of Senga Boyd, Wilma Brown, Emma Campbell and Margaret James who won their district final and have now qualified for the Bowls Scotland National Championships.

Well done ladies. The whole Club will be rooting for you at Northfield in August. Go and give it all you got!

🔵🟡WEEKLY UPDATE🟡🔵

Apologies for missing last week, there’s a lot to cover so here goes……
Skye and Kenzie were in action last week in the Ayrshire ladies u25s, with Skye managing a win and Kenzie unfortunately missing out.
Our Ladies were in District 29 Scottish play down action, singles pairs and triples came up short but our fours have qualified for the district final.
Our first open pairs was held last Sunday with father and son duo from Lugar, Neal and Jordan Murray coming out on top.
All our senior Ayrshire representatives were in district semi final action on Sunday with our pairs and triples progressing to the final but the singles and fours coming up short.
Last Friday saw the start of our ladies Friday night league, which will continue throughout the season on Friday nights.
Last Saturday the club hosted the annual Tommy Dunlop trophy match with teams from Symington, Tarbolton and Annbank competing. Tarbolton came out on top.
Sunday saw our 2nd memorial triples taking place, with the Alex Crawford Triples. Steven Taylor, George Hendrie and Jordan Paterson were the eventual winners.
Our gents have been out competing in the Scottish play downs last week and this week. Singles and triples came up short but our pairs and fours are still going strong.
This coming Wednesday the club are hosting the district 29 Scottish mixed pairs semi finals with both games starting at 6.30pm.
Thursday sees our pairs and fours back in Scottish action at Northfield in the district 29 quarter finals, 6.30pm start.
Friday sees our next East District League fixture away to Catrine with a 6.30pm start, and week 2 of the ladies Friday night league. Also our junior coaching continues on Friday at 4.30pm.
Sunday sees our gents begin their district qualifiers for the Ayrshire championship.

LATE POST ALERT

Last weekend saw our first open pairs competition of the season take place and after some great bowling and some excellent company.
In the end the final was won by father and son duo Jordan and Neil Murray from Lugar Bowling Club after they overcame our own Kerr Harris and Sandy Dunlop.

As always, a massive thank you to everyone who took part and also to our sponsors K White Electrical and The Auld Bakers.

ALEX CRAWFORD TRIPLES

Yesterdays Alex Crawford Memorial Triples was won by George Hendrie, Jordan Paterson and Steven Taylor after a good day of bowling.
Steven keeps up his excellent record in the memorial triples competitions, having won numerous times in the past.

Thank you to everyone who played, especiallly as the rain threatened a few times.

Members are reminded that no bowling bags or shoes are to be stored under the benches or tables, or on top of the lockers in the locker room.

Please remove ALL items belonging to you that are not in your locker before June 30th. Any and all items remaining after that will be removed.

🔵🟡WEEKLY UPDATE🟡🔵
Last week our Gents u25 and o55 and mixed pairs unfortunately lost out in their Scottish qualifiers but the o55 fours managed 2 wins and are now into the quarter finals.
Yesterday all of our representatives in the senior Ayrshire play downs have managed to all win and are now into the district semi finals👏🏻👏🏻
Congratulations to the winners and commiserations to the losers.
Kerr Harris played for Ayrshire South in their win over Renfrewshire West on Saturday.
This week sees our o55 fours back down at Northfield for their quarter final match in the Scottish on Tuesday night, 6.30pm start.
Also on Tuesday Skye Young is out in the u25 Scottish singles, Northfield at 6.30pm.
Thursday sees Tommy Connelly in the Scottish singles and Brian Williams, Mark Kerr, Alex McPike and Mark O’Hagan in the Scottish fours, Northfield 6.30pm.
Friday sees our second match in the East District league at home to Lugar, 6.30pm start.
Saturday sees Kerr Harris has again been picked to represent Ayrshire South in their away match against Wigtownshire, at Stranraer.
Sunday sees our first open pairs of the season. At the time of writing there are 2 spaces available. This will be drawn on Friday night and posted on here.

🔵🟡WEEKLY UPDATE🟡🔵
Yesterday saw Rea Campbell representing the club in the o55 Scottish Ladies singles at Northfield and Skye and Lewis Young representing Ayrshire u25s at Coylton. Unfortunately all 3 ended lost out, but Skye and Lewis both managed to win their respective rinks.
Tuesday sees Skye and Lewis Young starting out their respective ladies and gents Scottish u25 competitions.
Also on Tuesday, our gents o55 fours of Chick Carson, Junior Muir, Jim Harris and Peter Brown are in action in the Scottish competition, all played at Northfield with a 6.30pm start.
Wednesday sees Jim Scott and Jean Hannah begin their Scottish mixed pairs with a tie against Cumnock at Mauchline, again 6.30pm start.
Thursday sees Gordon Hendry in the Scottish o55 singles at Northfield, 6.30pm start.
Saturday sees Kerr Harris representing Ayrshire in their match against Renfrewshire West at Northfield and our Saturday night sweep is on at 7pm
Sunday sees the start of the East District, Ayrshire senior playdowns, with George Campbell in the singles at Newmilns, Tommy Connelly and Peter Brown in the pairs at LWM, Junior Muir, Jim Harris and Chick Carson in the triples at Auchinleck and Alex McPike, John Barr, Gordon Hendry and Robert Hainey in the rinks at Glaisnock Valley.
