Annan Super League Darts

I had a message from Julie Ward and at the Ayrshire AGM last night, it was decided that we can play against each other down here instead of having to travel to Ayrshire. We will be playing under the Ayrshire umbrella and averages go towards qualifying to play for Ayrshire County. There are two competitions we are invited to at Mauchline. I'll contact Annan players about these this week.

I had a message from Ricky this morning, and apparently we can play down here, within the Ayrshire system. Ayrshire have their AGM this Wednesday(24th) so I've asked him to let me know what's happening with the County, he's not sure if they'll have a team in the County set up this year. I'll update when I hear back from him.

This is a copy of a Super-League Score Sheet. The official ones are completed in triplicate by the home team, with copies to both teams and one sent to HQ. Some of us are familiar with these, but for the people who don't, I'll show you how to do the score sheets, work out player averages etc. Any questions, just ask.

Morning folks, Quick update, Due to the shortage of Women's teams, we probably won't have enough players to enter our own County next season. I have been in touch with Ricky Menzies and asked him if we could play under the Ayrshire Association, but to cut down on travel and expenses, if we could play against each other, instead of travelling to Ayrshire for Super-League matches. Ricky has contacted the SDA to see if this is possible and will get back to me when he hears from them

Friendlies are being arranged for the Super-League teams, Any publican who wants to host Annan's home matches for these, Please get in touch ASAP. We are looking at a minimum 20 dart players for around 4+ hours on a Sunday afternoon.

Just a wee update folks, I'm still waiting on some teams to find out if they can get enough players to make up a team. Also, due to a lack of womens teams interested, we might have to think about joining a current County Association, so if you know of any womens teams who might be interested, let me know and I'll get in touch with them.

This is the Nithsdale League (Thornhill) team that won the last Super-League in Dumfries and Galloway Area. Every one a top class player and a bunch of great lads. It went all the way to a last day decider against Lockerbie( Although most Lockerbie players were from Annan). I wouldn't have minded being in the Farmers Arms that night.
