Sarum League updates: Well done Penton for the Winter League: Division 3. We came 4th, with the same number of points as the 2nd and 3rd placed, so excellent. 1 more win and we would have been 2nd!
Summer League: Division 2. We have played 3 matches so far and have had great fun. 2 losses and a draw against stiff competition.
We are always looking for new people to play in the team as well as in the club.
Sarum is good quality tennis at home and away (with tea afterwards, very important). It is a fun league with opportunities for all.

Weather is looking favourable for our Opening Tournament Saturday morning, meeting at 9.45 for a 10am start. Small group so far but the more the merrier. Let's have fun playing tennis and saluting the new season. Let Elizabeth know if you are interested or, alternatively, just turn up tomorrow morning.

Hello Penton Tennis Club members. Have you renewed your membership (due 1st April 2025)? Perhaps you didn't receive a reminder. Single adult membership is only £74! If you only play once a week, that's less than £1.50 a go.
It's summer time, so club nights are Tuesday and Thursday and club mornings are Saturday and Sunday (but do contact the What'sApp to see who else might be going.
The committee is here for you. If you would like another social session during the day, let's arrange it. AGM coming up.

Hello Penton Tennis, the spring sun has brought us all out of any winter gloom and the summer playing times mean that noone has an excuse not to be on court.
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5/5.50/6 depending on what people want (check out the What'sApp group and get people out).
Still doing Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10-ish,but checking on What'sApp is recocommended. Start the conversation and remind everone how much fun we have.

A large number of Waxwings migrated to the UK this winter mainly from Scandinavia. They are beautiful birds, very colourful. This is a pastel painting of an adult male feeding a young one in the summer. 24cm x 29cm
